Don't do it
August 17, 2023They raise the rent each year even though they don't make any improvements to the property. Not a kid friendly place the driveways are terrible garbage always overflowing cause the only have one big dumpster for all those apartmentsReview from Apartments.com
Home
September 28, 2022I am going into my second year and yes, the rent goes up, but so does everything else. This is a place to call Home for me. Very cozy, friendly neighbors. Beautiful Clubhouse! Outstanding personnel, very nice and quick to help.Review from Apartments.com
I would not move here
August 5, 2022My rent has gone up between 60 and 80 a year for the past 5 years. Everything in my appt is 20 years old. When asked to fix something in the appt its a 30 percent job usually breaks again, and speaking of that I'm being charged for fixes around the place that were fixed years ago. A patched hole that gave out in the bathtub is costing me 250 dollars to fix a fix, last I was aware its the renters responsibility to fix their rental property. My rent goes up every year and nothing has been taken ...out of my deposit. I have to run a dehumidifier 24 7 or else my appt will flood. Why? I don't know. I have walls that are bowing and curving due to the high moisture in the apartment. Management is extremely rude and unhelpful, the number one thing I'm told is "I'm just running a business" so that shows they treat this place as a form of employment only and do not consider that these are peoples lives and homes. In this business you cant just treat people badly because your just doing your job. You need to find another job if that's how you think about people living here. There has been homicides here and they go unaddressed. There been suicide here and it took a full week for them to clean the appt. Do not listen to the fake reviews that they post with 5 stars. This place is not even close to 2 stars in my book, 5 would be a joke.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
The Best Place to Call Home
February 25, 2022I lived at Shaker Point for 3 years with my older sister, and then moved back a few years after that on my own. I chose to return to Shaker Point because they had been so good to us the first time, and I knew I could trust them to be honest, clean, and well-maintained. If you ever need a repair, the maintenance team will respond immediately. The ladies in the office will work with you through any issue -- for example, I had to switch units because I have terrible arachnophobia. They never once ...made me feel bad for it, and worked quickly to get me to a different apartment where I could feel safe to live. I'd move back to this place in a heartbeat if I could.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Move here
June 20, 2017After living here for 2 years we have not had any issues. The pool is always clean and we love all the amenities. We never hear any neighbors either. I love being so close to the highway and restaurants. Shakerpoint is very family friendly and even has activities for kids every once in a while like pumpkin painting and a Christmas party. The only thing I would change is to be able to paint the walls. Other than that I highly recommend anyone looking to move in harrison to live here!Review from Apartments.com
HOME
August 13, 2015Even though we have only lived here for 2 yesrs this feels like home to us. The ladies that manage the complex has activities all year round. They have patio contest every year during summer it is the flowers and during winter it is at Christmas time , We did win the summer one our first year here got 1st prize won money off July rent. There is a pool here and during the summer they have cook outs for the residents. This is a very single and family area to live. Even the maintenance men gave out ...breakfast in the morning on our way to work as we drove by they gave juice or milk and donuts out. We have deers that comes out in the morning and evening that we feed apples and bread to (they know when it is supper time) When we first moved in we had a problem with getting the washer and dryer to fit in the area and the maintenance men came over and placed it in and hooked everything up for us. In May I had my right knee operated on and I had to use a walker for awhile and in passing I said something to one of the maintenance men that I was hitting the walls (of course) and next thing I knew he was there to do the paint touch ups for me I thought that was great I know that if I have any problems I can count on them to take of things The grounds are kept very well groomed in the summer they even blow the grass clippings off the patios so when we come home from work all we have to do is sit outside and relax during the winter months the sidewalks and streets are kept clear of ice and snow They even have street lights which is great for when the kids are walking to the school bus stop. This is a very pleasant place to live for single and family we believe that this is the place for us Thank you CAROLYNRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Really nice
August 10, 2015This place is really nice and being so used to the city it is really quiet for the most part. The apartment was spacious and I loved sitting on the balcony. They always have different activities going on for families and adults as well. The apartment we are in even has a fire place. They always keep you aware of things that are happening and they even give you a monthly news letter. If there are any issues they will get back to you immediately. The people in our building are nice as well, this ...was truly a good experience with this apartment.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
