Feeling of community with attentive staff
April 19, 2021I chose these apartments when we needed an apartment in the Shelbyville area based on the appealing size of the units, the cleanliness, the newness of the complex, the pool, the gym, the laundry facility if needed, the well kept grounds, and pet friendly. To my surprise, I hadn't realized until after living here how the staff would be what made it stand out above all others. It's a relief to live somewhere that tenants are listened to and that any concern or issue is encouraged to be expressed ...and taken care of. Wanda has been a big factor in my happiness living here in that she goes above and beyond to address anything we have ever had to bring to her attention and she makes sure it's taken care of. I always feel comfortable contacting her about any issue and know that she will make sure it's addressed and resolved. It's nice knowing you live somewhere that you feel you matter and they want you to be happy living here. May 25, 2019We formerly rented from Shelby Oaks and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. Wanda and Gayle were very professional and do a great job managing so many tenants and apartments. We recently sold our house and will be going back there until we find our next home. So thankful for Shelby Oaks and all their amenities such as the gym, the beautiful pool, and elegant clubhouse area. Hope it takes us all summer to find our next home. ? Wonderful place to live
September 7, 2018I love living here. I moved here in January and have loved every day of it. The office manager is amazing. She takes really good care of the residents. Maintenance is on the ball. If you have a need, maintenance will take care of it immediately. Great Place to Live and Great Apartment Management
April 11, 2018Really enjoyed our stay at Shelby Oaks. Lived there a year with my wife and it was a great experience. Wanda and Gayle did a great job addressing any issues that popped up. I worked in Lexington and my wife worked in Louisville and this was a great spot to live halfway between our work locations. I would highly recommend this place to live.Review from Apartments.com
Love it!
March 27, 2018This place is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived at. The apartments are brand new, so except for some minor construction flaws, I was thrilled to accommodate my OCD germophobia by knowing that no one's germs were going to be in my apartment but my own. I was also allowed to bring my cat along for a very small pet fee. The ladies who work in the office could not be nicer and easier to deal with. My car battery was dead one day this past winter and one of the office ladies saw me ...and had the maintenance man come down and give me a jump. That was just the best thing ever! They really do go above and beyond to try to help people out and are fun to talk to when I stop by to pay my rent each month. I also enjoy the pool and the free gym and tanning bed. Plus, I can hit the highway in like 3 minutes, so it really is the best place for the money in this area. I easily give it a 5-star rating!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not worth it
February 16, 2018It’s over priced for the quaility they are built. Super cheap paint on the walls so you can’t even wash them without paint coming off. The cheapest dishwasher you can buy. Cheap carpet. Doors leak air. Not to mention the builders sucks at getting stuff built on time. The staff in the office are ok. Oh and the sinks arnt real stainless steal. Cabinet space is pretty nice tho. Not very sound proof you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking around at 6am really easy. I’ve lived here for almost a ...year and that’s how I feel about this place so far.
