August 30, 2023The living space is not terrible, but the management is pretty darned lousy. While you might get a decent rate on your lease the first year don't expect that if you renew. This year the new management has added an extra $400 fee not mentioned anywhere in the lease. Listed on the rent statement as "Amenities" but believe me there are no amenities here that warrant a $400 fee per household. In A Suffering State
July 15, 2020Last night our A/C unit completely broke down and we had to sleep in an 80°F shoe-box apartment all night. My mother in law was staying over, she has hot flashes. It got so bad we actually had to send her home early. Mind you she traveled 4 hours just to see us, so her early departure was extremely frustrating. My poor cat was panting and meowing all night which broke my heart. I don't normally go online to complain, but the fact we've had over 25+ maintenance issues in a year's time is ...absolutely infuriating.... At the rate we pay, you'd expect a WHOLE lot better. It's really disappointing and, in this instance, it's dangerous to me and my family's wellbeing. I will say that Tino - the maintenance guy for Springwoods - has been considerably helpful but some things are out of his control. Management needs to step up and make sure EVERY unit is up-to-date and their residents are not in a long term suffering state... I would be willing to revise my review IF we could have a conversation with one of the property managers. There has to be SOME kind of resolution... Just takes one employee to make an effort. Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes for this to actually happen and I'll most likely continue to have things break down in my apartment until move out.... And then at move out, just like everyone else has said, my 500$ deposit will be unjustly yanked from me in order for them to get my unit ready for the next victim. I've lost complete faith in this apartment complex and cannot wait to move, sadly to say. This was me and my partners first apartment TOGETHER.... It was supposed to be a beautiful experience, but living here has actually hurt our relationship because neither of us is happy.Property Manager Responded

Horrible Move Out
October 4, 2019Horrible move out process, do not plan on getting any of your security deposit back. I was charged for fees such as month to month and utilities from the previous time frame dating back as far as May, when I moved out in August. All at once in Aug, it was taken from the security deposit. I was charged additional "rent" after rent was due which lead to me having a late fee on my account which was later credited back to my account and I was not made aware of it. They also proceeded to use that ...credit amount and my deposit to charge for painting. The apartment was given back in the same condition it was received. The maintenance walkthrough only showed that I would have to pay for general cleaning. However, they still charged me close to 300 for painting. Just skip this place altogether and find a better place to rent from. There are also several safety issues with fencing area, children and suspicious men walk and jump the fence to the neighboring neighborhood at all times of the day and night. The parking lot is constantly full of trash, my vehicle was vandalized by having the gas tank open while I was away on business travel. I came home numerous times to teenagers gambling in the parking lot until someone calls the police. Perhaps in the past, this was a good area to rent from, but I can strongly say based on experience, If your expectations are low or if you are desperate for an apartment at a low price and willing to forfeit your security deposit indefinitely than by all means sign up for a place here!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Scam!
January 23, 2017This place is a joke and the staff here have absolutely no idea what the legal bindings of a lease are. I signed a lease with this place several weeks ago. I literally signed the lease, paid my dues, and got the move in date. Literally a week later, I receive a call from Tammy, the community manager. She informs me the previous tenant has "changed their mind" and is keeping their apartment. So basically, I'm out of luck. What? A legally signed lease doesn't work like this. Keep away from this ...place and Windsor Park, which is right across the street. They are ran by the same people. They won't respond to your emails or anything. I'm spreading the word with reviews all over the Internet and a report as a SCAM to the Better Business Bureau. This place is garbage.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

April 5, 2016I have had very good experiences with this apartment complex. My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year and a half at this point. The current Property Manager, Sonya, is excellent. She takes your needs into consideration and tries her best to make things work for you. We lived in a 1 bedroom apt on one side of the complex and let the office know we wanted to upsize our apt. The staff was great and showed us all currently available properties. We didn't end up liking any of them for ...what we wanted/could afford. However, we had time before our lease was up so we told them to let us know if any others opened up. A few weeks later, my boyfriend popped in to the office to do something unrelated and they told him "hey we have an apt that just opened up in the floor plan you like. Would you like to go look at it right now?" Well, we did want to look at it, and it ended up being perfect. They still had a little work to do on the repairs and repainting of the apt because it was just moved out of. We still had a month or so left on our current lease. Well, they allowed us to switch apartments and change our lease without having to pay any of the extra fees that would normally be associated, aside from the application fee that covers them running our credit and such. What I am saying, is that if you are a kind person and responsible, you treat others the way you want to be treated, and you are a good tenant - they are going to treat you well! (Any company really...) Yes, you have to pay utilities, but all but electric are paid through the apartment complex's portal if you want to pay online. Yes, you have to pay for parking, which does suck. However, for the quality of neighborhood and the price - you aren't going to do much better. Are there cheaper apartments? Definitely. However, I know from my experience the neighborhoods and apartments aren't nearly as nice, even with these buildings having a little wear on the inside. Overall, I would encourage you to look into living at Springwoods at Lakeridge. CONS: -SOME of the apartments are a little outdated and could use a facelift -SOME of the apartments have some wear to the interior of the building -You do have to pay for parking, per car - for standard, reserved, or car port. Different prices, obviously. -SOME people think the complex being "Smoke-Free" doesn't include them, apparently.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don't rent here please
March 28, 2016You have to pay for your utilities they are not free, most places will give you a 5day grace period to pay your rent here at this property after the first you are considered late and charge a very high late fee, the resident manager is not helpful at all. Since living there I've seen alot of people go... If you can please continue to search somewhere else. They don't work with you strictly about money.Review from Apartments.com
