February 3, 2025In my time at Sunstone, I have lived at 2 apartments, one with a terrible and uncontrollable and preexisting cockroach infestation, one without consistent access to running water. October 18, 2024The site is so close to important places I need to visit and I can walk to: grocery stores, drug stores, eye doctor, dentist and the Chapel Hill Public Library. It has a delightful outdoor space for all seasons. It also gives opportunities for residents to interact as we pass each other. The neighbors are basically UNC/Duke/RTP students or staff. the outdoor area is cleaned regularly by community staff. the rent is reasonably priced and the office staff are very friendly and helpful. all in all staying here is worth it, great value for money, I love it and have already recommended it to my classmates!Property Manager Responded

Poor apartment conditions, even worse management
August 30, 2023By far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Apartments are old, dirty and falling apart. Maintenance is often non-responsive and they do not truly fix issues that arise. Management company is also poor -- it has been two months since I moved out and I have still not received my security deposit. Overall, this apartment complex is a disaster and should be avoided at all costs.Property Manager Responded

Love to take your money
November 15, 2019We applied and paid our deposit for an apartment we were told was available. I emailed the staff to discuss a discrepancy in our move-in bill about a month and a half after applying, being told we were approved, paying our deposit, and getting the confirmation the apartment was ours. The response to the email was that our application had been cancelled and the apartment we wanted was no longer available. No warning, no phone calls, no anything. so many bugs
November 3, 2019The model is light and bright, but the actual bait and switch apartment's are dark , dated and drafty. You become close with your neighbors when you hear all their fights through the paper thin walls and squeaky celling. And the bugs..so many roaches and bugs...no matter how frequently they treat.
