I love it here!
March 17, 2026I just signed another lease here. This is by far my favorite place I have ever lived, the units are designed for the renter, plenty of storage and nice finishes and appliances. The location is awesome too, it's so close to all the shopping and restaurants and a few minutes to all the freeways to get around. The Maintenence team has always addressed any of my concerns with in the day or next day, they are all so nice and very detailed. This is a small 30-something apartment building so it's easy ...to make friends with your neighbors. I really love the secure garage parking and the big guest parking lot. Makes it easy to have friends over. Tim the manager of the building is amazing, super responsive and a pleasure to work with. He knows everyone by name and genuinely cares about your happiness. Stop Looking and Rent Here
March 10, 2026This place is 5 stars without a doubt. The units are spacious, clean, well maintained, and have high end appliances, lighting, and fans (dimmable lights, fans with multiple settings). The complex is small and quiet and has two massive secure indoor garages, with spaces for every unit, and small storage units available for a reasonable monthly charge. The building is very secure, with only one fobbed entry (other than the garage) and reliably closing doors. Nice pool, no gym, and no nonsense ...amenities that no one actually uses (talking about you speakeasies). The management is a local, small company (Clayton Companies) that cares about its building and its tenants. They have a modern app for handling rent and maintenance requests and the manager, Tim, is responsive and helpful. The surrounding area is a bit mixed, but you have a coffee shop, bakery, and tap room across the street and some nice restaurants and shopping up on Camelback, plus quick access to the 51. This is easily the nicest apartment I've ever lived in, and it easily beats anything in its price point. It’s close to downtown but without all of the traffic I’ve been here for over a year and all of my appliances have worked properly management is super helpful. I haven’t had any problems with it. April 17, 2025The Clayton is one of the best apartment complexes in the valley by far. I’ve lived in numerous places in phx and this has been the best experience I’ve had. I lived there for a year and recently moved to a different area but have nothing bad to say about the Clayton. Tim was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful with anything needed. The maintenance here is also great, they have regularly scheduled air filter changes, and an easy portal to submit requests that are done timely and smoothly. ...All staff I met while living here was great! Quiet - Clean - Comfortable
April 16, 2025Current resident! Toured countless properties and this was it for me. No fancy amenities- great parking - great location- beautiful floor plans. Quiet building! My only complaint is I don’t like the washer and dryer. They are newer, I just personally don’t prefer the “high efficiency models. Other than that no complaints. April 16, 2025We lived at Clayton on Highland for just over two years. Far and away, it has been the best living experience we’ve ever had. Yes, the units are absolutely massive with a sense of luxury and comfort, but it’s much more the management and care that this place has. Tim is not only the best at what he does, but one of the best people that you’ll find. He cares. He knows everyone’s name, checks in on you, and makes the experience feel like an actual community. You don’t deal with corporate just ...trying to get your monthly check. If you have a problem, you call or email or text one person. There is maintenance and cleaning done daily. They are on top of everything. My complaint is that we can’t buy an apartment here. We’ve enjoyed every aspect of this place, it really is sad to leave. You don’t deal with neighbors very often. Many complexes have these community picnics and movie nights. None of that crap. There’s no gym here. No extra amenities that really aren’t necessary. You have a huge unit, your mail, a pool, bbq, massive balconies, and you’re set. And the location is premiere. Tim, thanks for treating us so well and creating such an amazing complex. November 12, 2022And I chose this one. Two months living here only reaffirmed my decision. Tim, the manager/leasing agent, is absolutely wonderful. The management company is one of the best (if not the best) I've ever dealt with. My apartment is spacious, quiet and well-designed. I even have a storage locker. All parking is secure, but there are also private garage options. This building is brand new, clean, well-maintained and (again) QUIET. It is a fantastic lifestyle. Luxurious and Intimate
November 4, 2022This place has really large patios and large floor plans. Nearly all of the units have an extra powder room. I love that, don't need to keep my bedroom door open for guests to use the bathroom! Very well done finishes, I love the layout and it is a smaller complex, I don't hear my neighbors ever and the few I've met have been really nice. Management is really easy to work with and they gave me a welcome gift basket upon arriving to my apartment for move in! So thoughtful!
