With its live acoustic guitar on Sundays, as well as special holiday parties, you're likely to have a swinging time no matter when you choose to make an appearance. The restaurant has a real Mexican feel, from the food, to the environment, to the liquor, and the moment you'll walk in, you'll think you're in an restaurant in the heart of Southern Mexico. You can start your meal with their Entremesas menu, including quesadillas de camaron barracho, with garlic and tequila shrimp served on a corn tortilla and two cheeses, guacamole quesara, guacamole prepared right at your table, mojo, shrimp in a garlic-wine sauce, or crepa de espinacas, queso, spinach and mushrooms in a crepe, covered in a jocoque cream sauce. Straight from the appetizers, you can tell just the original tastes you have in store for you. You can also try one of their delicious soups or salads, including soups with avocado, tomatoes, garlic shrimp, sweet mango & a spicy vinaigrette or roasted sweet and spicy peppers, or salads with seared duck, spinach, pine nuts, naraja supreme and rich Roquefort cheese, or with spinach, toasted pecans, apples and slow-roasted tomatoes. By the time you've finished off your starters, you'll be chomping at the bit for the delicious main courses. There are a number of delicious chicken choices, including Pollo en Mole, with either red or Oaxacan black mole sauce, or Pollo Poblano, with poblanos, caramelized onions and queso fresco in a tomato beurre blanc, as well as steak dishes such as Filete de mi Tita, topped with crab, longaniza and ancho chile sauce, or Filete Azul, with bleu cheese crumbles and carmelized shallots. There's also a great collection of enchiladas, including Enchiladas del Mar, with with shrimp, scallops, and crab topped with queso de cabra and jocoque sauce, Enchiladas de Mole, and Enchiladas de Hongos, with sauteed wild mushrooms, queso de cabra, and aciete de trufa blanca. There's also a number of traditional Mexican favorites, all with a unique and original take. To finish things off, make sure to try their Oaxaca chocolate cake, goat's milk caramel stuffed churros, or a their delectable flan. Mexican restaurants are not in short supply in Phoenix, so your options are virtually endless when it comes to a night out.
