  • Just beautiful

    I’ve not had good luck with apartments around Huntsville, until here! The ladies are so nice and the apartments and community is even nicer! I’m a single mom and I feel safe her with my child. 10/10 recommend.

    I went on a tour a couple of weeks back. Liv, the leasing agent who took us on the tour, was very knowledgeable and seemed excited to tour me and my husband around! The complex is clean, and the apartments Liv showed us were beautiful! She catered the tour to what we explained to her that we wanted.

  • APARTMENT FROM HELL! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

    As much as I wanted to love it here, I am in the apartment from HELL! It has been a total nightmare living in this community since the beginning. I’ve been in the unit for less than a year and relocated from another state. I was told like a couple days before that my move-in date was pushed back, so we were displaced for a few days, having to find somewhere to park our Uhaul full of all of our belongings. Things have only gotten worse! They cut corners with the build of the units and did a rushed ...
    job. Not to mention they are VERY expensive. I’m in a 1 bedroom and they charge way more than some of the other communities that are just as nice in the area. We had No AIR during the summer months in 90+ degree heat, a bad ant problem immediately when we moved in, bad paint job in the unit, bulging in the walls, missing screens on the windows, the toilet moved and wasn’t screwed into the floor, the garage door stopped working, flooding in the unit when it rained and this is BEFORE the rolling power outage during Christmas, huge cracks in the walls, the trap door in the closet just randomly opens to the roof like someone’s up there, and now we’re in the unit with a broken thermostat and NO HEAT for the 2nd time in one month and the list goes on! Let’s not talk about the mailroom and the terrible system they have in place, and that’s when you can even get in there because the door was broken for a while and the gates are always open and barely work, and when they do the one in the back makes the loudest screeching noise that makes you feel like you’re in a horror film. With all of these construction issues, you’d think they’d be more accommodating, but from what I’m hearing the owners are rude and could care less about these issues in the community. Oh and they use some members of the leasing staff to communicate these very harsh messages like “as long as your unit has lights and a roof it is considered fully functioning.” They also overwork the maintenance crew and are heavily understaffed in that area. Tony and Delano have been great and need to be promoted because they have those guys fixing stuff that I’ve never seen maintenance teams have to be responsible for like actual construction work which is insane that they’d have to fix issues with the actual build. I am beyond disappointed and this complex does NOT meet expectations. They may look good on the outside but do not be fooled! They are just cheaply built apartments with a very expensive price tag.

  • Incredible Community!

    The Collins is a great place to live! When I relocated from Indianapolis the staff was very helpful in ensuring everything would be ready on my move in date. The people and community here are great. The Collins team puts on many community events, which definitely helped me meet a lot of new friends. The maintenance staff is top notch and maintains the grounds very well. The apartments, appliances, and accomodations are top tier!

  • Best Community in Huntsville

    We cannot say enough good things about The Collins. Several of our friends and family have moved here after visiting us and seeing how incredible it is. It is the most beautiful property with amenities that make it feel like living at a resort. The staff is competent and so kind. Hali is so great. She moved us in and has taken such good care of us since the last year and a half. Tony has a great team for maintenance. If you are looking for the best of the best look no further.

  • Super Thin Walls, Gates Always Open

    The apartments are nice on the inside. The staff is friendly. However, the walls are super thin. Most nights you can hear the conversations in the adjacent apartments, and hear their alarms going off on the morning. Last night I was laying in bed and could literally hear my neighbor pushing buttons on their microwave. So you need to be prepared to be on the same sleep schedule as your neighbors. The gates are open the vast majority of the time, so anyone can drive right in from the busy ...
    shopping centers nearby. For example, they’ve been open since Thursday (today is Saturday). I’d venture to say they are open more than they are closed. The dog washing station has been out of commission all spring save for a few hours one day, then the faucet broke, and it’s been off since. I understand needing to turn it off if there will be a freeze, but not the entire spring. I moved into my apartment in October, and I’ve been able to use the dog washing station twice. The dog park floods pretty badly when it rains. It appears to be the lowest point on the property, so you can only use it when there hasn’t been any rain, unless you want to have a muddy dog. And if you have a muddy dog, you can’t wash them at the “out of service” dog washing station. So you’ll have to clean your shower and apartment after washing a muddy dog in your apartment. The mail room is an adventure. There is no organization, just a mess of packages all the time. They’d be really well served with an Amazon locker, otherwise it’s a 20 minute search for packages if you aren’t lucky enough to have yours right out in the open. There has been a loud beeping throughout the complex for the last three days, making sitting on the balcony unbearable, or just headache inducing having the windows open. Turns out alarms are going off in the Fire Riser Rooms in the buildings. Hopefully these pose no danger as management has done nothing to address this. The gym is nice, and the maintenance guys are cool. So 2/5 considering how thin the walls are, the lack of security (the open gates), the apparently ignored alarms ringing through the complex, and a part time dog park/cleaning station.

    From the moment we toured this place, we experienced nothing but greatness. Dinah, Amanda, Hallie, and Chance have all made The Collins such a wonderful place to live.   • Hands Down Best Property in Alabama

    What a fantastic apartment community in a great part of Huntsville! They’re essentially in the heart of Research Park, which is close to several large companies that most of us work for. Dinah was very helpful as it took us several months to decide which apartment to go with. We finally decided The Collins because of their amenities, customer service, and location. 10/10 recommend giving this place a look. We couldn’t be more happy to move in!
