Love it here
September 28, 2023The Drake is really nice! Moved here recently from out of state, and the leasing and move-in process was straightforward and smooth. The units are beautiful--lots of light, new appliances, and a versatile open layout. Management and maintenance staff are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Other big pluses include covered parking, central air, and no extra charges for pets. It's a good location and a quick walk to the commuter rail as well as a grocery store, gym, and library. Glad I found ...this place!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
This property is excellent.
September 20, 2023The property is always clean and looking good. The company that owns the Drake addresses any problems or concerns immediately. There is the added plus of the underneath garage which eliminates getting snow off your car or going out in the rain.Review from Apartments.com

Beautiful Building
September 7, 2023Really nice building with modern finishes and features. Great area close shops, restaurants, and the commuter rail making it easy to get into Boston. 5-stars for the property manager, Joe - he's the best!Review from Apartments.com
Thin Floors
October 18, 2017Current Resident. Can't wait for my lease to end. Air conditioning went out 3 times this summer, and because they're heat pumps, it blew hot air instead of cold. Came home one day and it was over 100 degrees. I've been told 3 times they're going to replace the unit and it still hasn't happened. The building is well insulated thermally, but there is NO sound insulation. I can hear my neighbors dog downstairs and every step my neighbors take upstairs, as well as their phones ringing and most ...of their conversations. Also, because the flooring is adhered directly to the concrete the laminate bubbles. It looks amazing, but it's REALLY poorly built.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Average
January 16, 2017This place is a little overpriced for Stoughton, but it's a new construction and more energy efficient than many places in the area. You do save some in bills since water is included, but electricity bills are high. Another positive factor is that it's pet friendly. Consequently, everyone has a dog. It seems that people clean up after their pets, even if you still have to watch were you walk sometimes. The pet area in the back is just a corridor with stones...not ideal for dogs (this area is also ...next to the club...they have some guys there yelling and dragging carts across their parking lot at 7 am on weekends for your convenience). You can go across the street with your dogs, a green area filled with trash though. It's also hard to find places with a garage, so that's good (even if it's a shared covered parking really). Some issues experienced: the covered parking is open and residents had some problems so now there are surveillance cameras; the bird machine is annoying as you can hear it at night even from your apartment. The parking spots are tiny. People scratched and dented their cars to get in and out. It's a new community and we were having issues with package deliveries because there is no leasing office on site. It seems resolved with most carriers. Management people are available via email or phone, but poor customer service in dealing with tenants. If you need something fixed, prepare to wait a couple of days just to schedule the appointment and then see when they're available (no on-site staff), but at least the maintenance guy is nice. There are fundamental problems with the electric system in the apartments. Also no club house. Sometimes you can hear your neighbors, not too bad, maybe it depends on the apartment...and your neighbors! BUT you can hear what goes on outside: trafficked street on the front and Portuguese club on the back. It is close to the MBTA commuter rail station ($263/month if you commute) and so you hear the trains (from about 5am to 11pm). Easy to commute if you drive. Overall, the noise issue can be very annoying, but you are downtown (still, it's just Stoughton). So, I would not recommend this place because of the price...however I feel rent prices are inflated all over the Greater Boston area, the issues explained above, and poor management. We'll see at time of renewal how bad it gets.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
