MOVE AT YOUR OWN RISK
February 16, 2023My mail has been stolen on many occasions. Open stolen mail trashed in stair cases, graffiti on walls and lots of kids from the skate park hanging in the stair cases smoking weed. Management is terrible they do nothing to try and fix things. If you have any issues with the apartment it seems like you’re responsible to cover it 100% even though I had just moved in. Be very careful of your belongings if moving here.Review from Apartments.com
RUN AWAY
January 31, 2022Don't move here. Management doesn't care, it isn't a safe building, and it's way too expensive for what you're getting. Quite literally across the street is a much nicer and newer building that's not that much more than the cost of these apartments and includes better amenities. 1. The building is located quite literally right next to a skatepark, so noise is off the charts. Luckily I was never on the side facing the skatepark but you can still hear it throughout the day. This is obviously a ...choice I made myself and does not bother me specifically, but I know it irritates others. Because of the extremely close proximity of the skatepark, break-ins are constant. At least 3 times a month, people from the skatepark have come into the building and would smoke in the stairway, which would cause the building's main fire alarm to go off. Almost no residents leave the building during these alarms. The only way this can be turned off is by the fire department, who has to come (in two massive trucks by the way). They've become so used to this address, that they're taking longer and longer each time to respond. I fear that if there is an actual fire taking place residents wouldn't know unless it's too late. And because of the constant break-ins, package theft is almost guaranteed if it sits out in the mailroom for no more than an hour. Management's solution to this problem was to put up a sign, essentially telling residents to not leave the door open or not let others into the building behind them. Basically, they leave it up to residents to take care of management's problems. They are incredibly slow to fix anything in this building. The walls in this building are insanely thin so don't expect any sort of privacy. In my bedroom, which shares a wall with a neighbor's bedroom, I've been woken up by late-night visitors on a constant basis. In my living room, which shares a wall with another neighbor's living room, I can hear literally every argument or conversation they have.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Building/unit are ok, security is questionable
December 18, 2020Apartment units are cramped and awkwardly designed. It’s apparent corners were cut during construction - uneven floors, walls not plumb, cabinetry is cheap (no toe kick?), sound insulation is non-existent (you can clearly hear neighbors). In addition, the building is not very secure, there’s been questionable activity inside the building and people steal packages from mail area regularly.Review from Apartments.com
Love The Lake Apartment!!
August 7, 2018I just moved into The Lake Apartment and I love it! For a single person, the apartment is perfect. In fact, having moved in furniture, the space looks even bigger, I was afraid it would be cramped but it's pretty spacious. I have a million dollar view. While there is a park next door, when the balcony door is closed, you don't even hear anything, at least I don't, at all. It's part of the elementary school and it's summer time but I doubt I'll hear anything when school is back--great ...insulation. It's off of Temple Ave. so you don't hear the traffic as we're on a quiet street. The property is so beautiful, well-kept, clean and organized. With the hot weather, we're so lucky to have air conditioning, so awesome! The Owners, Managers and people on site are great and are very responsive. They are really nice to work with. I looked at many wonderful apartments, Bunker Hill, Lofts in the city and I feel lucky and blessed to end up here. It's pretty super! LBRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
