A hidden gem
August 2, 2022My husband and I have lived in this apartment for about 10 months now, and it is hands down the best apartment we have ever lived in. I have lived in New York, California, and now Seattle, but this is much better than any other apartment I have had in a big city. Every time we had a concern, it was addressed promptly by the manager who is extremely responsive. There are a couple of small downsides which are- 1. They allow pets. One corner of our bedroom has a residual smell from the previous ...renter's dog. 2. A lot of spiders get into the apartment; though they are mostly harmless, it can be annoying to be killing them constantly. But there are so many more pros than cons: 1. The rent price is unbeatable for the location. The neighborhood is nice/safe and it's like a 5 min drive to downtown and 25min drive to Bellevue. 2. PARKING. There is so much free parking. You can't always get a space in the lot, but there is always street parking. 3. The room is not a studio but a full 1-bedroom apt. There is also a separate storage room in the basement hallway where you can put extra stuff in a locker. 4. The landlord is so kind. He often leaves free food in the laundry room and consistently updates the apartment (recently, the laundry machines and outdoor grill got updated). I could say more but these are the things that stood out to me. We're so lucky we got this apartment!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

January 23, 2021Not worth your money. It is an old building with very noisy neighbors; you will hear the people next door and also from the next building. Every morning around 6 am you will hear trucks backing into the ally. Management is awful, they never respond to phone calls or text messages and they take weeks to respond to emails. This property has no amenities not even guest parking. They will charge you a deposit to start renting and will find ways to not return it at the end of your lease.Property Manager Responded
February 22, 2021Thank you for taking the time to review this property. However, we do not agree with this review. In addition to being on call 24 hours a day for potential emergencies, management lives on site and is very responsive to resident enquiries. When first moving in residents are provided a reliable and easy way to communicate with management via a resident-dedicated email address, which the preferred method of communication once applicants allowing management to respond to residents throughout the work week hours. It is true that texts and calls (except for in emergencies) are discouraged to provide a predictable work week. Additionally, it is very rare a deposit isn't refunded in full, although it can occur - as it did earlier this year- when damage to the unit is excessive as evidenced by an inspection and photographs.. Even in this case the deposit was returned in part and the full cost of the damage or any loss of rent was not assessed. However, in 99% of the cases the damage deposit has ...been refunded in full. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to provide further information on our operation procedures.

Magnolia Gem
August 17, 2015Far enough away from the noise of the city, you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door of The Magnolia. With large living rooms and tons of storage space, I am happy to come home everyday. Secured parking and laundry in unit is a true relief in the Seattle market. A few steps to the bus downtown, Discovery Park and the Ballard locks, you never run of of new places to explore. I never want to leave this amazing building!Review from Apartments.com
