Appreciate the care and service I get from the new management and service team
October 7, 2022My AC was on the fritz for several weeks. The service team was always prompt to repair. I received a call from the Property Manager letting me know that likely, if it went out again, they were going to make the decision to replace it. I let her know that I would be traveling for a couple of weeks, and wouldn't be here to know if it was working or not. She committed to checking regularly and making any necessary repairs while I was away. After week one of travel, I was in town for one night. ...I came in to my apartment (AC not working) but a stand-alone unit in my living room cooling my home. When I returned from week two of travel I had a new AC. They cleaned up and cleared out as if no one had been in my space. I am so appreciative of the care and attentiveness I and my home received while I was away. THAT is EXCELLENT service!! I considered moving when my lease was up this year (as I didn't feel I was getting the same experience I had in prior years). But with the care I have received under this new management and the current service team I will absolutely be staying. I do love my apartment home here at The Manhattan Apartments!Property Manager Responded

Uninhabitable, Please Read Review and Decide
September 12, 2022Uninhabitable, Not Recommended at all! Read the complete review. I do not usually write reviews unless I think it is absolutely necessary. My girlfriend moved in here In July 2022. And starting from day one the problems started. On day 1, the Apartment was not even clean, There was dust everywhere, Paint was peeling in places and there were multiple maintenance issues, 2 months later, to this day I am still chasing them to fix the maintenance issues. She could not move in on day 1 (And yes, they ...want rent for those days). The fridge had 3 broken shelves (Pretty much half the capacity was lost), Was never fixed, I had to swap Fridge from my apartment (I live in the same apartment) to my girlfriend's apartment because even after a dozen followups, it was not fixed. Both showers has some black residue in the water, we have asked multiple times, and even after two months, hasn't fixed. Imagine paying for two bed two bath apartment with not place to safely take shower. That almost makes the apart Uninhabitable. Most of the faucets were loose or leaking (Did I mention, She just moved in). Loose light switches, loose wall sockets, and list goes on. One of the bathroom ceiling was leaking, to this day, we are waiting to get the ceiling fixed. And there were more maintenance issue within first two months. I wish I would have taken more pictures/videos of issues. 1 Star is for friendly staff, and zero for everything else.Property Manager Responded

Great for first timers
July 21, 2015The Manhattan is a great and safe environment to live in. This is our first time renting an apartment and I do feel like safe in the complex. The Staff and Neighbors are friendly. The Cons: - Usually take more then 24 hours to fix issues such as toilet. I believe they only have 1 staff working so I understand. - Garage gate has been breaking down frequently.Property Manager Responded

Good neighborhood!
July 21, 2015I guess the buildings are from 70's but the maintainance is good and some recent renovations in the bathroom and kitchen area is good as well. It is a safe and clean environment. Not a luxury at least in my point of view but well-maintained. It is in northern Dallas district, so lots of opportunities around you! :)Property Manager Responded

Walkable, likable, and livable
July 20, 2015We moved from across the country to the Manhattan Dallas Apartments, going solely on website pictures, Facebook posts (their pool parties looked pretty fun and friendly!), and apartment reviews. This apartment complex is definitely in a more convenient, walkable spot than most others in the area. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Addison, and 25 from downtown Dallas. If you dare to walk when the temperature hits those highs, it's still only a short little bit to the Tom Thumb, Kohls, 7/11 wine ...runs, and some fast food. Within a two minute walk are two great pubs with excellent happy hours (Pat & Mikes, Staggering Irishman). The complex itself? It's lovely! Pretty green and well kept. Pools are accessible and rarely busy. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and though we haven't used maintenance yet, they are super friendly and are known to be quite responsive. The apartment: we live in a 2 bedroom. Square footage wise, it's small. Ceilings are low - but then again, please take into account that I'm 4'11" (the skies! the ceiling is the sky!) and my partner is 6'6" (..must. duck.constantly). He feels cramped, and I feel it's dark. But other than that, move-in condition was very clean and the appliances, flooring, and cupboards were all fairly updated. Toilets flush slow - don't panic! Be patient, my friends, and it'll all be good. Unless it's not - then thank god for prompt maintenance. Wow, this review is going to the dark side isn't it... let's get back on fresher soil.... Kitchens are small, but hey, there are like fifty restaurants you can order from Seamless that'll give you all kinds of yummies in like 45 minutes. So pick your battles. All in all, it's safe, we're happy, we're well-fed, and our cat loves sitting in the large windows.Property Manager Responded
