    • No sound proofing

      December 23, 2019
I am a current resident who has lived here for 5 months. During my time here I have complained to the landlords on several occasions about the lack of sound proofing. They blow me off as if it’s normal to hear every little thing coming from my neighbors. To make things worse the people above me are rude and inconsiderate by moving furniture constantly and running around their apartment daily. I can’t wait to get out of here.

As mentioned by another poster, the walls at this building are so thin that you can literally hear the entire conversations of your neighbors, I heard them cough, heard them discuss what they were eating for dinner and also heard their morning alarm every weekday (all three times each morning).

It is disheartening as an independent business owner when one receives an anonymous internet attack on your team’s livelihood. The Monarch is 2018 new construction from a certified, award winning construction and maintenance team. If a tenant came to us via a public or private forum and said “My name is and I lived in this unit and this is my gripe” we would fastidiously address and strive to make it right. In this case you have someone who has made it their business to namelessly post two successive weeks under the pretense of being two different people [though word choice and style is strikingly similar]. Clearly it is someone with an axe to grind [a competitor or perhaps a client who wouldn't follow the community guidelines that preserve a better environment for all of our tenants]. We invite all prospective tenants to look over the building and see for themselves. …and, with summer turnover season upon us, we have a percentage of our academic and young professional clients ...
moving on. In only the last 10 days [since this original post was anonymously placed] here are email snippets we’re received as some current residents have moved on and said goodbye. Thank you very much. If and when I return to Philly, I’ll be sure to contact you for an apartment. Take care. Sincerely, Joanna I will be relocating to Salt Lake City in June. You guys have been a great landlord and I have immensely enjoyed living in the neighbourhood. Thank you. Gayani Thanks so much for working with us and being so accommodating. We really appreciate it. Carrie Thank you for an amazing apartment. Renting from your business has been awesome everyone is very helpful and friendly. Very Respectfully, Randal The apartment and Knickerbocker have been great but we are planning to move out of Philly. Thanks, Matt and Kate I really enjoyed working with you and your team and found the apartment to be a great place to live over the past year. Thank you! Chelsea June 2019 is my daughter’s last month of her lease. Thank you so very much for the last 4 years - Sarah loved living in your apartment, as did we. We were hoping that our younger daughter could assume her lease, but the timing just didn't work out. Maybe next year, haha! Lisa Thank you once again for being a great company to work with. Katie Hello Knickerbocker staff! Thank you for being a great company to work with. I loved the apartment and the location. Kathryn

    • Do not live here

      May 21, 2019
This place looks extremely nice and has great appliance. However, there is no soundproof and it feels like you and your neighbors are living in the same room. There are many leaks on the walls and the floor and you can even see lights from your neighbor’s room. Many of us have contacted the management company to handle the issue but they never respond to us.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on scale of 1 (below average) and to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider needs as part of the school selection process.
