Renters Reviews and Ratings
Property manager ineffective, will screw you on security deposit.
October 2, 2020The unit itself was nice enough. Property manager went to great lengths assuring us that no one in the building smokes in their unit but she must be unable to smell. We lived there for only three months and took good care of the place and ended up with $100 of our deposit back. They expect the unit to be immaculate upon moveout or whack you with cleaning fees. Either way you're getting hit with over $400 of shampooing and maintenance fees upon moveout. No temperature control in unit past ...switching heat on or off. It costs $4.00 together to run their tiny washers and dryers. Overall pretty dissatisfied and feel taken advantage of.Property Manager Responded
January 26, 2021We regret you feel dissatisfied with your experience. We pride ourselves with providing spotlessly clean apartments and common areas that have no deferred maintenance and are kept in first class condition. Our rental rates are below market. Even though we are not low income housing, our rates are less than many of the government assisted 'low-income housing' programs. We offer the best rental value in Anchorage for comparable apartments. Thankfully, we have many satisfied residents who recognize and appreciate the job we do, some of these residents have lived with us for over two decades. There are apartment communities all over Anchorage that do not clean and maintain their properties, and charge much more for this lower quality housing. This is why we challenge prospective renters to look around and see for themselves what else is out there because it is an important decision to find a nice place to live. We care about helping people end that search for a nice place. ...Regarding the move out charges you say you received, many people get their entire deposit back when they move out because they make an effort to leave it clean, but those who choose not to clean and restore the apartment at move out, or leave it damaged, cannot expect that we can absorb that cost and not charge. We would not stay in business long at that rate, nor be able to provide the great value we provide. This is not reasonable. In close, we regret you were not satisfied, but assure you it is our continuing goal to provide the nicest, cleanest, most well-maintained apartments in Anchorage, and the best rental value.
