Absolutely do not move in here!

RUN!!!!
December 8, 2020This property has changed management twice and I only lived here 14 months. There are a number of safety hazards on this property and inside the homes. They don't fix anything in a timely fashion even if they are legally obligated to do so. Make sure your home is renovated and completely done because they will move you in and won't even attempt to fix the matters they promised. Even talking to corporate is a task. Don't let the newly renovated advertisement fool you. The leasing ladies are nice ...up until they make you sign the dotted lines and just like that you're just another person in an empty apartment they needed to fill. They have no maintenance staffing so you won't be getting anything repaired per the leasing consultant.Property Manager Responded

Great living Facility
October 6, 2020I would like to take the time and thank the management and staff at sonomawoods for welcoming me aboard. It’s definitely been an awesome stay here at sonomawoods thanks to Angela and Shawnice. When I first applied for a 3 bed two bath they were eager to move me in, showing me all the apartments had to offer. So as we continue to view the property I was anxious awaiting to arrive back to the office to sign my lease ? The tour was awesome, do to the cleanest of the landscaping to the amenities. And ...throughout my living here, it’s been nothing but peaceful and quietness, my neighbors are the best so it was like I was in the perfect place. So I would definitely recommend family/friends in. Terrible staff
December 13, 2019Worst apartment complex ever! I have lived here almost 6 years, and have had more problems in the short amount of time that Artcraft Management has been here. They are incompetent and inconsistent. When you have a problem, you’ll get a different t response from every staff member that you speak to! The regional manager doesn’t follow up with complaints! They would rather the older residents move out so they can move new residents in and charge them $300 more a month! They lose money with us older ...residents because our Apts aren’t renovated, therefore they up the rent $100 every year to make up for the money that the property is losing! The grounds and outside of the apts look nice, but the structure of the buildings is poor! The framed back door is old and causes cold air to get in during the winter time, which naturally increases the power bill in the winter time. The appliances are old and don’t work half of the time and the maintenance refuses to replace them. They do the bare minimum here to not be shut down. Don’t let the office staff fool you into living here with fake promises. For what they’re charging here, you can get your more for your money somewhere else!Property Manager Responded

Management Needs to Hire Friendlier People to Work the Front Desk
September 24, 2019Management needs to hire friendlier people to work the front desk. Case in point: is the girl who has been working the front desk lately. I was contacted via phone by the office to inform me that my entire apartment needs to be rewired?!!! The girl on the phone proceeded to tell me (a.k.a. --- DEMAND) that I remove all of my furniture away from the walls so that the electricians can begin the work. When I tried to explain to her that hey, I cannot move this heavy furniture by myself, as well as ...try to get some rest before I have to get dressed to go to work all the way in Richmond. She acted as if I was making excuses; I told her let me get dressed and go down to the office so we can speak about this in person. I tried once again to explain to her that I could not move my heavy furniture around in my apartment on such short notice. However, she wasn't having it. She proceeded to degrade me and treated me as if I owed them money our was asking for help. As a matter of fact I pay my rent on time, EVERY MONTH, before the due date. And I overpay as well... Strange how some people forget these important facts. And then she just dropped this bit of information on me, telling me that it was goin to take 8 hours for the electricians to complete the job. Now who in the right mind would wait to tell someone, anyone important information like that the day of?!!! Then she tried to lie and tell me that she mentioned about how long it was going to take the day before. Um no, do not try to paint me as the fool here because you are in the wrong. *Sigh* Please, for the love of all that is good, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! I am trying my best to save up enough so I can leave because they treat the residents like second-class citizens. We are harassed and have no say about our homes. Such a Fun Place to Live!
June 26, 2019We are a military family that just relocated to the area. We are very happy with our move to Sonoma Woods! The neighbors are friendly and the staff is always doing some fun events! We love making smores with the kids at the fire pit and the dog park is such a plus! Not sure what these other reviews are about - we have never seen any bugs in our apartment and pest control comes by every month. Quiet Neighbors, Fun Staff
February 25, 2019I moved here a few months ago and am happy that I did. The area is very quiet and the neighbors are too. My apartment was newly remodeled when I moved in and I get compliments on my kitchen all the time. I had to call the maintenance line once when my disposal stopped working and it was fixed within a few hours. Every week there is an event at the Leasing Office and it usually comes with free food - can't beat that! :) Overall I am very happy with my choice to move here.Property Manager Responded

Avoid at All Costs
December 3, 2018Been living here since 2012, management changed in 2017 and nothing has improved; its only gotten worse. At least the former owners managed to address maintenance issues within two days and made sure to inform you before maintenance entered your unit. I have numerous issues that have never been fixed or addressed. My hot water heater was leaking from August – November 2018 and they finally came to fix it at the beginning of November.The carpet is still moldy now and still has a lingering smell of ...mildew even after the Pearless folks came to clean it. However, now I am paying the price for the leak via an increase in my water bill, which went from $62 dollars last month to $82 dollars this month. My unit is outrageously drafty in freezing cold during the winter months. There is a gap at the top and the sides of the patio doors located in my living room area that allows all the heat to escape and instead brings in the cold. I can leave a can of soda sitting on my coffee table in the winter and it will be chilled enough to drink. In the summer it’s worse. The heat is stifling and unbearable. I rely on six fans strategically placed throughout my apartment to keep cool, even with the AC turned up. These hot/cold issues cause my electric bill to remain sky high, between $150 - $215 a month during the peak of summer and winter. Another issue I had was mold. It rains in my unit and the ceiling in both the master bedroom and one of the back bedrooms suffered water damage. The master bedroom suffered water damage so bad that the plaster started to peel away. Not all the units have a washer/dryer installed, so there are onsite laundry facilities. I hate using them because the washers and dryers barely work half the time. The laundry room is always filthy. One early morning I went to wash clothes and found a used condom draped across the door of a washing machine. You will find dead roaches in there as well as lint still inside the lint screens, used dryer sheets scattered all over the floor. It is a fifty-fifty chance that the dryers will dry your clothes completely and the washing machines leave a film/residue on your clothes that is still there even after drying. I mentioned this to management recently, and she explained that they do not have anything to do with fixing the washers and dryers. If we want them fixed it’s up to the residents to contact CoinMatch (the folks who out-source the units to the complex) to come and fix them.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
STAY AWAY!!!
June 25, 2018This Apartment Complex is a DUMP!! I've been living here for over 4 months now. We have had issues with cockroaches!!! We have also had to place several maintenance requests in to have showers, front door, non working or flushing tolites fixed... These items have never been fixed or replaced to date. Our upstairs neighbors smoke pot daily, the police have been called several times, and management does nothing to correct the issue. This is not a safe area. There is trash everywhere on the ...properly, And thugs hanging around the complex. Do yourself a favor and read up on these reviews prior to moving in. I would highly recommend you looking elsewhere to live as you will not be happy here unless you like living in the hood!!!
