January 7, 2023DO NOT RENT!!! This apartment community and management were horrible from day move-in to move-out. The welcome email from the community gave us the option to sign up for NPS. NPS is an intermediary that sends automated rent payments to the property. Prior to moving, the data provided to NPS from the property was incorrect. We flagged this with the NPS and the property prior to checking in to ensure the issue was rectified. Upon moving in, the issue was not rectified and was not rectified for ...over a month. We received a Default and Termination notice (in error) because the property was not accepting the automated payments because they failed to rectify the inaccurate data prior to our lease start date. The property does not enforce breed restriction rules and appears to make no reasonable attempts to enforce state vaccination laws for the dogs. I emailed the property about my neighbor's dog running at large and antagonizing other dogs. I received no response. The dog was running-at-large again, I called the police to have the resident cited and I discovered from the officer that the dog was not vaccinated for rabies. I forwarded the information to the property management office and received a mere 'thanks.' No follow-up pertaining to the status of the dogs that interacted with and antagonized my dog while running at large. The quality of the apartment community that you choose depends on the quality of the residents. Anyone with a pulse and a 400-credit score is approved, which says a lot about the quality of the residents. Many residents do not clean up after their dogs (if they walk their dogs on a leash). So, while you are walking around this property, be on the lookout for landmines. And as if all of this were not enough to turn you away. Remember those neighbors with poor credit and no respect for their own homes. Well, turns out that if you don’t clean up after your dog you are unlikely to keep a clean home. We enjoyed the visitors of mice and roaches for over 2 months, submitting service tickets regularly to have them send an exterminator. The maintenance team would review the pest control request and close the ticket without (1) communicating with myself or my partner or (2) ever sending pest control to our apartment. Once we withheld rent, they finally sent pest control.Property Manager Responded

Save your health and money.
March 8, 2022My apartment constantly smells like the neighbors weed. It hurts my lungs. None of the amenities have been open. Maintenance has done cheap fixes, if they’ve even fix things. Awful place to live, and could not recommend unless you genuinely can’t afford to live somewhere else. Oh, and if you have an issue, good luck trying to get in contact with anybody at the office. Their office isn’t open to people in person, and they never answer the phone.Property Manager Responded

Don’t live here
September 6, 2021There was a shooting in here in January. None of the amenities are open. The renovations aren’t even that nice. Also, they raised my rent 13% so yah, avoid this place.Property Manager Responded

Awesome place
June 6, 2018I am very pleased with my new apartment. The location is great and close to my job. I love that this place offers so many amenities for my kids to choose from. I'm excited about the upcoming pool party. I couldn't have found a better place. Highly recommend!Property Manager Responded

Terrible apartment experience
May 18, 2018The new management of this complex has a very poor understanding of customer service. Very heavy-handed and totally lacking in training. The apartments themselves are well located and fairly typical but they are very poorly managed and maintained. Requests for service are repeated "lost" while tenants are expected to endure leaks, mold and broken appliances for weeks without further "complaining". Drugs are openly used in the common areas leaving behind puddles of urine, piles of trash and ...drug debris for weeks at a time until residents are able to invest enough time into repeated nagging management into cleaning. "Nothing we can do - call the police" is all they're willing to say or do when you call. Meanwhile residents receive an almost constant stream of emails and flyers citing the latest infraction and its associated fine or other punishment. You're left feeling like a inmate instead of a customer. I've spoken to almost all of the neighbors in my building and they all, without fail, regret their decision to live here. Unfortunately, we are stuck with a lease so we are now discussing setting up a "tenant association". As a group maybe we have more leverage? Bottom line is I want to like this place but they just make it impossible.Property Manager Responded

Pretty and comfortable
August 5, 2015I've lived in this apartment complex for a little over a year and I am very happy where I am. The grounds are well kept, the amenities are plentiful and the staff is very nice. In regards to the closet space, all I can say is "wow!" I have a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and the closet space I have is remarkable! The bathroom isn't a tiny pantry-sized box in the corner, either. Speaking of pantries, how many apartments have them? Very few. I'm so happy to report this one does! I feel safer here than in ...many of the other places I've called home. The apartments are situated close to the DMV, the post office, a gym, restaurants and grocery stores. You could walk there in a pinch. Just around the corner is the newly renovated Springfield Mall. Woods of Awesomeness
May 31, 2014Location- It is in the middle of all major areas. The best drive you can get to Ft. Belvoir. Short drive to the mall/movies and more. Really though best location around when it comes to driving anywhere. Value- Compared to EVERYTHING around it is completely affordable and in the last year there have been no problems with crime. You would think the cheaper the complex the more crime and problems but not here, not at all. Maintenance Service- Easy to explain, you call they come to fix it. Doesn't ...get much better than that. Quality of Amenities- They have two pools that are nice. A tennis court too. My only issue is it looks like they once had a basketball court but there isn't one there anymore. I wish they had a basketball court with decent durable rims. Noise- The walls are made of concrete so you can't hear anything at all, it's kind of awesome. Office Staff- I saved the best for last. They are amazing. The group of people in there working to make you happy and get you the place you want are amazing. I had some issues with a couple things and they helped me out completely. When I transferred from a one bedroom to a two bedroom(cause this place is that awesome) the office staff worked together with me to make it seamless and hassle-free. They made paying a breeze and they were just so nice. The office staff alone would make you want to move in. Long story short...If you are looking for an apartment, I wouldn't even look any where else because this place has the same ammenities as anywhere else except the drive is better, it's cheaper, and the staff is probably the best group of people you will ever meet!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
