Close to perfect.
August 30, 2015We moved here because we were very unhappy with our previous apartment community, and overall we really like it at Toluca Terrace. There are some stringent requirements for being a resident here, which made the application process a little difficult/stressful. The staff was as helpful as they could be, though, and in the end you know that your neighbors all had to meet the same strict requirements as you, so it's a fairly high-quality community that feels quite private (rather than feeling like ...you're living in a college dorm). Can't stress enough that it's nice and quiet here, compared to what we've lived with before. You get occasional noise (it's impossible not to, when living so close to so many others) but you don't hear every word your neighbors are saying through the walls or every footstep above you. Dogs aren't allowed so you don't have to put up with poorly-trained pets. The street we live on is quiet. Parking is underground so there isn't much vehicular noise/constant car alarms to deal with. The location is great; there are a couple of shopping centers within walking distance (we like Vons in particular because it's open 24 hours). The amenities are pretty good--laundry rooms, a workout room, a beautiful patio and pool. Parking is good (assigned as well as a decent amount of street parking). We were a little disappointed there are no community grills and no recycling here at Toluca Terrace, but these are fairly small inconveniences. The staff, as mentioned, are very helpful--easily available, always ready to help (including a security/courtesy officer who keeps an eye on the property and noise levels from other tenants). Maintenance requests are handled promptly. Overall, this place might not be absolutely perfect but we're incredibly happy with what we're getting here and we're so glad to be residents!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
