  • Expect bumps

    September 26, 2024
    They locked us out of our garages last week in an attempt to increase security to prevent garage break-ins. Some of the garage units are 6 garage stalls side by side with a shared hallway. There are 3 entrances into the hallways, one on both ends and one in the middle. These have always been unlocked. We use our own keys to access our individual stalls. The handles were changed to those that remain locked last week without anyone informing the residents who have those garage stalls. People ...
    were locked out of their garages (and vehicles) for work. Not impressive. They'll help you with accepting your packages at the main office when someone is stealing them at your apt. I appreciate that. But don't expect help with things like pot smoke or pets in your not-pet-friendly building or a resident that keeps opening main area windows even when the air quality outside is in the unhealthy category.

      We were being proactive in trying to provide an extra level of security to gain access to the attached garages. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication when this task was completed. As soon as we found out about the problem, we reached out to the affected residents and made sure that they got keys so that they could access their garages.

    I know there has been a fair amount of turn over in my time at Urbain Plains, but even with the constant changes, everyone is always very friendly and willing to help. Any time I submit a maintenance request they are on top of it too! We have really been satisfied here the last few years.

    I just moved into Urban Plains, the unit was in good condition and big for being a studio. Staff can be overwhelmed at times with the size of the property, but being patient and understanding goes a long way.
