  • Do Not Do It

    April 5, 2024
I have had issues since I first moved in. I moved intoban apartment that had not been cleaned. Now roaches have started traveling into my apartment. Some of the office staff aren't very helpful and professional. Tgey don't return calls timely in regards to maintenance. My friend warned me not to move here when she was dealing with a mice problem. Now I'm warning you. I should've listened to her to save myself the headache!!!

  • Do not come to this place

    February 1, 2024
This complex has zero safety and nobody cares even the packages they do not rêve them at the office to keep them safe and they has zero tolerance they are acting like they are perfect when they do not even consider the residents. The only think they care about is money they do not clean very often the complex but if you miss one day of rent because you forgot they charge 50 dollars if you forget trash for 5 minutes they charge you so you should consider people more. The management is very bad ...
specially now with the new manager very bad and not caring at all. We are just a paycheck for him. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I left it with no regrets.

  • Could write a Novel it's so Bad

    February 7, 2023
Where the roaches rule! Seriously, the place gets sprayed every two weeks with at least three different companies and it does nothing. The neighbors leave trash in the halls/ stairwell, or their trash bags leak boxes all the way to the overflowing trash bins. The roaches just come out of the wall sockets. Maintenence doesn't care. Roof leaks any time it rains. Had to replace the dishwasher, but they left exposed live wires under the sink and I got shocked trying to grab cleaning ...
supplies. Replaced loose bathtub tiles without fixing the rotted walls. Front door handles are always broken. Fire doors to each floor have broken hinges that are jammed shut making ingress/egress difficult when the door opens 1/3 the way or the arm is not even connected so the 1/2 hinge bashes into the wall. One maintenance truck sits on a broken axle and the other is loaded with old tires with the property owner name from 10yrs ago label all over it. Don't let the gate house fool you. It's full of junk and is never occupied. No security company patrols the area. Vehicles are parked in handicap unloading zones, on the grassy medians, or just in the middle of drive path or edge of the parking lot for weeks on end. They'll charge you $20-30 a month to park under a rotting shelter that's barely holding together. Front doors to buildings are not locked or have handles broken in half. Drivers will fly over the speed bumps at 30-40mph (in a 10mph zone) and not stop at stop signs. Lights in the parking lot work about half the time. Added monthly charges: about $35 for water, average $60 for electricity for cooling in the 80F upper floors since the heat stays on till May, $25 per pet +$200 down payment at signing, $20 to park, $20 for a gym locker for storage Your walls will be paper thin, with bedroom wall shared with neighbors living room. You'll be up all night too the emergency vehicles. If you're 2nd or 3rd shift, forget it. The water lines get turned off for maintenance every few weeks for 4hrs at a time. Plus you've got pest control coming just as often to spray. Then there's the seasonal parade of landlords to make sure you are neat, tidy, smoke alarm has a battery in it, &you don't enjoy stringed lights on your porch outside of the few holiday weeks. No summer fun whatsoever. The pool is tiny and over chlorinated/salted. Moving here was the most regrettable decision I've had. They got rid of weekend hours and are only open 10-6.

  • Highly recommend living here!!

    April 18, 2022
My boyfriend and I struggled to find an apartment that would except us since we were young and it was our first apartment, when we were about to give up, Candy was a LIFE SAVER!! They were willing to accept our application!!! And we moved in a couple months later!!! We have been here for almost a year now and have LOVED our experience!! The office ladies are so kind to us!! Also not sure what everyone is talking about with roaches we have had or even seen any, and they send people every 6 months ...
to spray just to be safe!!! Not to mention THEY HAVE A POOL!!! They keep the pool clean which is awesome since we love swimming!! We definitely plan on renewing our lease, and definitely encourage others to move here, this place really is amazing and the prices are so much better then anywhere else around for the amount of space you get, with a walk in closet!!! I really hope out of all the bad comments you read this good one and give this place a chance because it will definitely be worth it, they truly are amazing here and the rooms are beautiful, and like I said THEY HAVE A POOL!!!

  • Unfair!!

    April 15, 2022
I have lived here since 2015 in one bdrm and then moved in 2018 to a two bedroom. (4/15/2022) I have asked about moving into a 3 bedroom and they said I have to go on a waiting list why and I already live at the property. Also I asked for a new stove and refrigerator and was denied because I haven’t lived in my unit for 5yrs. Roaches are a problem. People let dogs just poop everywhere and not in design area can’t enjoy fresh air smelling that. Still haven received new windows, some things are ...
just pushed off to the side as if you didn’t make a complaint. But wanna raise rent 50 a year.

  • DO NOT MOVE HERE

    March 13, 2022
If i could rate 0/5 stars i would. I have lived here since May 2021, my first 3 days here I found roaches in every part of the unit, it took 2 weeks to get pest control to my unit. By the end of my first week in the unit the people below me had their apartment shot into. Since then I hear near weekly occurrences of gun violence in the building/on the property. When i raise concerns to the property managers they act as if they had no idea this was happening. Throughout my time in this community ...
I have had to deal with CONSTANT roach concerns, i have not had a single week in which i did not see a roach in my apartment even though I mop and clean near daily. I have also had management come into my unit with pest control and tell me I AM the one who brought the roaches over a single glass in the sink. in October of 2021 the ceiling in the hallway began leaking water heavily, it took them a week to come and stop the leak but the ceiling had already collapsed by that time. As of 2/2022 the hole is still there. In Jan 2022 I witnessed first hand the boiler room door open in my building where I saw trash up to the ceiling, wood, drywall, etc which leads me to believe THAT is where the roaches come from in this building. As of Feb 2022, i have had a hole in my hallway ceiling due to a water leak. Was told when i called no one was coming to help me until Monday(Office was closed that day.) Then suddenly maintenance showed up to my unit. I was then told by maintenance they'd come back Monday to patch the issue(again, office was to be closed.), when i asked about the office being closed i was told "oh...no it'll be Tuesday). Naturally, no one came, and when i called that THURSDAY i was told theyd come the next day, no one showed. As of the day this review was made 2/19/22, no one has come to fix the issue. If you have any other choice in your living situation, DO NOT COME HERE. posted here on 3/13/22 because my review on google was hidden. i still have roaches despite everything i have tried to do

  • DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    September 11, 2020
Notice all the good reviews were left YEARS ago. We haven't even lived here for 4 months and we are going to break the lease. What everyone said about the roaches, is true. We are clean people. We have no animals, we clean our apartment regularly. It's still an issue. I have had NUMEROUS safety concerns that they still haven't addressed. Just the other day we had someone try to light the building on fire. The chief fire inspector said there are numerous cases of Arson reported in the apartment ...
complex. They have no smoke alarms or sprinkler systems in the hallways to warn people about fires. Forget about having your packages sent to the building. We had one of our opened and contents stolen out of it. All the office said, was to have packages sent to the office instead. WHY do I have to have that done when I am paying a good amount to live here. I don't know about all of you, but I work hard to support my family and myself. To be honest, I feel like safety is the last thing on their mind. As long as people turn in there rent check, They don't care what happens to anyone after that. On top of all of that, they say "security" is on site. That is so LAUGHABLE. He sits atthe front entrance. He doesn't even look up when you are driving by. They sit him there so they can put on their website that its a secure property. There is almost no parking for people who live there because they don't monitor the parking passes that are assigned. I see people parking all the time that have no pass in there window. Leave NO SPACE at all for anyone else who ACTUALLY pay to live there to park. I am just so disappointed in lack of care for the safety on myself and the people I love most. You can believe I am never moving into another PLK property if this is how they treat the people paying to keep them in business. It's fine for them because they only work there. They don't live there like we do. So they don't care what happens to us at the end of the day. I will not stick around to find out what happens when whoever is starting those fires is actually successful. Maybe this review will help others to see the truth about the way Vantage Pointe West runs things. I am telling you, Do not move here for the safety of your family.

  • I liked this place until recently

    December 19, 2019
I have been living here 3 years and we had small issues come up, nothing major. But 3 weeks ago, our apartment flooded and they have not done any work to fix the issue. I talked to a lady in the office and she said she would let the manager know. Then after a week, I called and she said she would have someone there the next day. Then after a few more days, i went to the office and the lady at the desk had a bad attitude before I event said anything. I asked to speak to the manager and she goes to ...
the back and I hear the manager yelling something. So the lady comes back with an even worse attitude and says they’ll clean and sanitize the carpet even though I’m sure there’s mold underneath. So I will be getting a mold inspection done and have them check the ceiling, the carpet, and the walls since none of it has been repaired. And! I was leaving for work the other day and the banister was messed up and I sliced my thumb open. The fixed that the same day but my apartment still has not been tended to.

  • Do NOT move here

    May 31, 2019
This place is a joke. I will admit that our personal apartment itself is not bad, but the complex as a whole is awful. The hallways of the building are disgusting. Trash everywhere, inside and outside. The elevator works maybe 50% of the time....and we live on the 5th floor! When we call with requests to have the elevator looked at, we never get a response from the office. Our water is shut off almost monthly. They say it will be for only a few hours, but it ends up going long into dinner time. ...
Our toilet broke recently and when we called emergency maintenance they reported that it was “not an emergency” so we were without a working toilet for the weekend. The washers and dryers are disgusting. Only 3 out of the 5 washers work and it’s really just hit or miss if you’ll find a dryer that works. Don’t even think about trying to take a shower in the evening...the water will be cold. Oh and we have had no hot water for going on 12 hours now....no morning showers either I guess. No communication from the office about the hot water issue. They don’t open until 10 anyway...they’re probably still sleeping.
