Worst “Luxury” Apartment in Philly
June 27, 2021Prior to actually moving in the apartment, I took a tour with the property manager, Beth. While taking the tour, the building was not fully finished, and was given renderings on how the apartment will end up looking. However, as soon as you sign the lease, and pay the deposits, communication with management is essentially cancelled. They do not contact you or answer any of your questions until the day before you move and pick up your keys. The apartment building is a legitimate joke. I have ...never stayed in an apartment community with this poor of quality. The apartment has a roof deck, but it is far from what the average person would expect from a “luxurious” apartment roof deck. The flooring all across the deck is breaking apart and losing its color. The plants and trees are all dead, with nothing but grass and weeds growing around them. People leave their pet poop and pee all across the deck, leaving an extremely intolerable smell, and management does not do anything about it. There are also a lot of trash and cigarette butts that are spread throughout the entire deck. Don’t plan to use the cheap fire pits because maintenance never replaces the gas, and people end up buying their own just to use an amenity they were promised prior to signing their lease.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not worth your money
October 4, 2020Everything was built incredibly cheaply, no sound insulation (can hear my upstairs neighbors every step when I cannot hear same floor neighbors or the construction of 1300 fairmount next door, was also told ), windows stick open/closed with handles falling off, terrible tile work with huge patches of grout, the doors to the building don't fit in the frames properly (there are ~inch gaps), the common areas keep flooding, elevator keeps breaking down, the elevator and the main building entrance are, ...inexplicably, on the wrong side of the building so packages are just left by the door in a hallway instead of the mail room, just overall sloppy and poorly done work. I really wanted to like the apartment here because the location is good and the apartment size/layout etc. is nice but I don't. It has a lot of potential but until everything is fixed it's not worth the priceRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great space and amenities - though still leaving things to be desired
August 10, 2020Despite being in a sub-600 sq ft 1br/1bt apartment, the space is amazing. With 5 1/2' windows that allow a superb amount of sunlight in and the ~12' ceilings, the apartment feels much larger. Special care needs to be taken for furniture arrangement, especially with bulkier items. Closet space is very limited, and confusingly designed. It seems that the furniture that's used to outfit the common areas aren't made to last - most of it is from IKEA (which is generally only good for residential ...uses). The rooftop deck's "wooden" flooring is lifting in certain places making it very uneven. You do have a great view up there though. The common areas are still being developed. The "shared office space" in the basement has had water damage for the past month (Summer of 2020) and has yet been renovated. The walls here aren't too thick. You can hear the microwave from the next apartment beeping on and conversations from neighbors. I wish they invested a little bit more in sound proofing. The entrance to the apartment complex is odd - you enter through Park Ave rather than to Ridge Ave due to the set up. There's another property being built next door, so that might be why the Park Ave pavement looks like a warzone. All that said, I do like living here. But there's definitely things that I would want management to address.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
