A terrible place to live!
January 20, 20201. Cockroaches!!! For the almost entire last year we stayed there, we were infested with cockroaches. After six months, they tried a do it yourself process. That failed. Three months later they tried again. They failed again. They tried a third time, but I don't know it it worked or not. we moved out. 2. Leaks and flooding. We lived on the first floor for 2 years and three times our apartment was flooded by one of the apartments upstairs. The second time, we had to wait three days for them to ...come by to clean up. There was a strong possibility of black mold. 3. Kids out of control, an unruly complex. Many kids left alone during the day with no supervision; smoking pot out front of the building, throwing trash everywhere, peeing in the walkways and tagging walls. Management's solution was to put up fliers saying "Stop it" but without any mention of punishment. They also have security cameras. But after my car was vandalized several times, they refused to let me see or at least know who was wrecking my car. 4. Lack of communication,.Unless you are paying rent or a first time renter, otherwise they do not return calls or messages. You must track them down. And now, after all of this... 5. My employer wanted me to move to another part of their state for work. I tried to talk with management to let them know and confirm the end of my lease was up a month prior. But again, they waited to reply. They informed me that I still had one month left on the lease after I had confirmed with my employer it was a go. I informed the management that legally they had to find a renter to replace my lease ASAP to reduce the amount that I might owe. I also said it was within my rights to move out early because of the low living standards were not part of the lease agreement. As soon as I got to my new town I left a voicemail asking when I would get my deposit back. The last I have heard from the manager was that my deposit was in the mail and should be here in less then a week. Nothing came. So I kept calling for a few months and no replies. Now, with no communication with me, the have a debt collector trying to collect from me. And since the refuse to talk with me thru normal channels, I'm hoping that informing all you good people of the truth of what happens at View Ridge Park Villa you can avoid the pain it is to live there!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
