Happy Resident - 5 Stars!
September 16, 2023This is a top-notch, professionally managed apartment complex. I've lived here for almost 3 years and will renew. Many neighbors are equally satisfied and have been here many years. It's safe, management responds to my every call. Example: a barking dog (once), a clogged drain (once), a spider sighting (once), or help of any kind (like, a question about carpet cleaning (it turned out, with the annual renewal, it's free). They keep this place up - the grounds, the laundry house, the pool, the ...barbecue patio, the mailbox area, the parking spots... on a daily or weekly basis. And not just community areas, but renovations of my patio, deck, windows, doors. And it's truly safe. I walk at night; feel totally safe. It's family friendly, too, with kids playing on the lawn (reasonable times) and toddlers laughing when they meet new toddlers in the common areas. Pets are treated like family, too. I can only speak of what I see, and this is all true. I would highly recommend Villa Camarillo - when I moved in, I told the agent that "I don't want to have to move again; I want to make this home" and that has come true for me. I lived in other rentals; several tricked us by touring through nice areas. Ultimately, I moved in, only to have to negotiate dirty laundry rooms, past roaches, pest-control smells (that obviously didn't work), shoddy upkeep of the grounds, and neighboring tenants with ugly belongings that were eyesores. This is not the case with Villa Camarillo.Property Manager Responded

Unprofessional staff
June 28, 2023Staff doesn’t handle resident situations in a professional and timely manner. Was told I can’t have things hanging in my backyard or above the fence but most people do. And whats the point of parking permit if people who don’t live here are just going to park in resident spots and staff allows it even after several emails regarding the situation. Even though I have a parking permit sticker I still received a towing sticker on my car.Review from Apartments.com

Current Resident
November 17, 2019I moved in Jan 2019 and enjoy this complex so far. Management and maintenance are very attentive, friendly and professional. The complex is very quiet and most people keep to themselves. I live by the pool and it’s not constantly noisy or crazy. The apartment is a perfect size for me. Although there’s no AC, and it doesn’t get super hot in Camarillo, at least ceiling fans would be nice. It’s nice that water/trash/sewer is included, because most places don’t include that in rent. The popcorn ...ceiling isn’t the best, but it’s not the end of the world. I do love how the sink area is separate from the shower/toilet. Closet is a good size in the bedroom and I like the patio. My one biggest complaint and annoyance is the laundry. I hate how they’re always sooo dirty and half the time the washers/dryers aren’t working. The management can’t do anything and you have to call an outside company that never answers. After 6 months, I finally got my $3.75 refund. The washer and dryers are probably over 10 yrs old. I wish they took those wash cards instead of quarters. It’s just a P.I.T.A. This is probably the only thing I’d complain about.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Management do not follow through
January 17, 2017People have dogs do not clean up after them including the sidewalks there is a leash law dogs running around loosely The office staff don't follow through of the rule they hand out to the tenantsReview from Apartments.com
not child friendly
October 25, 2015After living here for a while I have had many times where my child and grand children have been told that playing in the open grass area is not allowed. No bikes, no skates no balls of any kind. I was told that if they want to play outside they need to go to a parkReview from Apartments.com
Not that bad. Staying for the past 3 years
August 26, 2015I would like to give this apartment above average rating based on my last 3 year stay in this complex. First let me get you the PROS: The apartment management is very friendly and always available for any inquiries. The maintenance team is very good and they do any service request with 24 hours. The apartment is maintained very neat and clean. Free water and sewage. Lots of spaces in kitchen and wardrobes. Downstairs apartment has a good backyard like area for patio. Close to major shops and ...freeway. Calm and quite community. Do carpet cleaning for free on every lease renewal. Now the CONS The apartment buildings itself is very old, maybe build in 70's or early 80's. You can see evidence that on every corner of the building. You can hear what's going on the next apartment. The walls are not sound proof. Popcorn ceiling Parking limited to one. Have heater but no cooler. This is not a problem when staying in ground floor. Lots of pets in apartment complexRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
