  • Don't let the staff fool you, they just want you to sign the lease

    July 5, 2022
TLDR: DO NOT MOVE HERE, DO NOT LET THE STAFF FOOL YOU I've been in this apartment complex since 2016 and the quality of the staff and apartment has gone down the drain. Don't be fooled by the "friendly" staff and nice leasing office. This current staff (mainly Kendrick and Meriah) cares more about you signing the lease and throwing social gatherings in the clubhouse verse providing a safe living environment or providing solutions to issues that arise. Just a FEW of my current issues: - ...
COCKROACHES are constantly a recurring problem in the apartment and in the common areas. - MICE have been an issue due to the constant construction. I haven't seen one in my apartment for a few years but they are on the property. - I've had my car antenna STOLEN TWICE from my car while it's parked in the garage. Staff won't do anything about it unless you file a police report. - My packages have been stolen countless times from the Parcel Pending lockers. Despite it literally being less than 10 feet away from the leasing office. - I've had closet doors that don't fit my closet, they're too small and are cracked. They haven't been replaced because it's been on "backorder". It's been 6 years. - Multiple brown stains on the ceiling. - Repairs that are done on the apartment are usually given the "landlord special". Sloppy paint jobs to cover repairs. - Cracks on the wall throughout the apartment complex. - The laundry room is disgusting. They said they're remodeling it but I've stopped using it since I've had other residents open my machine while I'm using it. I can go on and I'm sure someone from the management company will give a generic reply about my unfortunate experience. I've contacted the leasing office with my complaints but more often than not they say it's out of their control or they're working on the issue, but with the lack of results, it feels like a BOLD FACE LIE read off of a generic corporate response sheet. DO NOT MOVE HERE

  • Don't waste your time or money

    October 1, 2021
I toured this apartment back in July and put a deposit down to HOLD an apartment. After reading reviews, I decided to pull my application. I was told I would be getting my deposit back. I paid with a card, but they said I would be refunded via check. Well.... Its now October and I have yet to receive my money. No one answers my emails. So beyond frustrating! Do not give this company your money. I am still waiting, still trying to get someone to find a resolution for this problem.

  • Theft issue

    March 19, 2021
It’s pretty unfortunate that I have resolved to writing this review. I was so excited to move into my new apartment. I have been living here for four months now, and I have already had 7 packages stolen from this place. Whenever I’ve tried speaking to management about this issue, they quickly shut me down and tell me it’s “not their problem.” I was also told that if I don’t want people in the building stealing my packages, then I should buy one of their lockers. Well, I did buy one of their ...
lockers, and I have still had THREE more packages stolen from me... I know this isn’t just a problem for me in the building. I have spoken to other people who live here who have dealt with the same problem. Even the security guard told me he’s never seen anything like it. I understand they can’t be responsible for lost mail in the building. But if they actually cared at all about their tenants they could make their mail room more safe and secure? Have a mandatory security guard check your ID before grabbing your package, have a secure mail room that requires a key fob before entering... SOMETHING. Because having 7packages stolen in the span of four months is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY after buying one of their scam lockers. I have plenty of friends who live in apartment buildings with their packages in a mail room who have never had to deal with an issue like this. Now, I have to result to buying a separate PO Box which can go up to $100 a year, and drive to another location just to make sure my own packages don’t get stolen in my own home. Sucks that something that could be resolved so easily isn’t considered important to the management of this property. I love everything else about my apartment, and don’t want to have to move again, but it’s a huge disappointment how poorly this place manages the safety of their tenants. If you do move here, all I gotta say is buy a PO Box somewhere else, before you regret having thousands of dollars stolen from you, and management looking at you like you’re in idiot for even bringing it to their attention

  • Do not move into this Druggie Apartment

    December 4, 2020
This is not a place you would ever want to stay at. I've been here for three months and hated my entire stay. Every time there was a problem, it was never resolved or took forever to get resolved. I've dealt with bugs in a completely clean apartment, Washer and dryer machines not working to the point where you have to walk to the other building to get your clothes washed, 5 stolen packages In which I was instructed to "call the cops" because they would not show me any footage of what was going ...
on, I've seen people sell drug's out of this apartment, the elevator NEVER and I mean NEVER works. Imagine carrying loads of laundry, groceries or a big case of water up flights of stairs by yourself. Fire alarms constantly go off in the middle of the night. My sink and drains would always clog, parking is ridiculous, even the parking garage is creepy and does not make you feel safe. I am a nurse staying here for a travel assignment. I will never stay here or recommend anyone to have to deal with what I've dealt with in 3 months. It's too expensive to feel like you're living in the projects. Please take my advice. I am not a difficult person at all. I was very excited to move to LA and this place made me think twice about my decision.

Lived here for 7 months and i hate it! When we first got our apartment we were excited but this place is only somewhat nice in some parts. Like lobby, gym area etc. The apartments are awful. Super thin walls. Loud neighbors! You could hear everything!! Not just the neighbors that live in the building but the other buildings too! Thin windows! All of my walls were painted with the cheapest paint and now we can see all the hair and dust that was underneath from previous tenants!! Everything is old! ...
The cabinets are falling apart. Not like the pictures on the site. Their is tagging everywhere. It stinks! Bugs and infested with flies inside the hallways! Security is bogus! They brake into cars and people steal things daily!! Elevator always broken! Ugh I can go on and on For the price!? Look elsewhere please!

  • NOT WORTH IT

    March 21, 2020
THIS PLACE IS TRASH. I've lived here for 9 months and I could go on about how this place is garbage but I will give you 3 main reasons. 1.) There are always people from other neighboring buildings loitering around the Commonwealth entries for both buildings. The are rude, obnoxious and some are drug dealers (I've literally seen them count money and needles as inventory). 2) The alarm is going off all the time. This is dangerous as most residents don't go out anymore. If there's ever a real ...
emergency, I won't be surprised if some residents don't get out of their apartments. 3) There's trash on Commonwealth ALL THE TIME. I've posted some pictures to prove that. 4) The building is not truly closed off. You can easily get into the building. The doors that are suppose to be locked off aren't, **cough cough** the laundry room. 5) None of the rules are enforced. I feel for the people that have balconies facing the pool. Some residents are truly ignorant at the fact that they are living with others. Don't core here. The prices might seem tempting, but looks can be deceiving. Heck, they didn't even clean the apartment before I moved in.

  • NOT SAFE! Place is a nightmare!

    January 9, 2020
Save yourself the time, money and nightmare that you are bound to experience at this complex. The amenities and new renovations are great, Vive LA properties are sleek looking, please dont be fooled. Violet on Virgil is simply unsafe, end of story. Regret moving in here every minute that goes by. The pool is noisy with parties and weed smoke billowing into your apartment every two seconds, especially after work hours when you want to rest and the amenities are available to anyone and everyone, ...
even non-residents who may stumble in (so scary). I can't wait to be out of here and somewhere I can leave my unit in hopes of not experiencing a life-threatening event or another complaint I have about the place.

  • Love where I'm living

    July 11, 2016
I had recently moved in and i am loving every minute. Every since the start, the management team had been very friendly and courteous and more than helpful. Kayla was extremely helpful in the process and i couldn't have asked for a smoother transition for me. I work in downtown and this is such a perfect location. For all the amenities that are included in the rent, it's such a great deal. The renovations are going and great changes have been made and even more so to come.

  • E.T.A Saved Me!

    July 21, 2015
A month and a half ago, I packed my bags, stuffed them in my car, and drove across the country to Los Angeles. I didn't have anywhere to stay, and I needed a place fast without all the hassle, and this place was it. I got an apartment the next day, and I couldn't be more happy here. It's centrally located, and I've yet to be bothered by the crazy L.A. traffic since I'm close to all kinds of public transportation. AND, there's always an Uber driver nearby. The staff is amazing and they are very ...
accommodating and resourceful. The place is newly renovated with new kitchen appliances and floors. The best part is that ALL utilities are paid, minus the water & sewage, but it's inexpensive. There's a pool, a newly renovated Jacuzzi, and a home theater! I think I lucked up on finding my first home in La-La Land.

this apartment is our first place in LA. So,you know this feeling when you just took a step into apartment and it's immediately feels like home. The stuff is always glad to help you with everything, every time they happy to see you. I really like this building, and I fell in love with LA. I like this stunning view to DTLA from our rooftop. It's really nice place to stay in this city!
