So loud!
March 4, 2022I've only lived at Vue for a few days and moving in was a horrible mistake! You will hear everything above you, every step the upstairs neighbor takes, every time they open a drawer, every time they go to the bathroom, and yes, every detail of them going to the bathroom. There is a horrible churning noise that will vibrate through your entire apartment when they run their dishwasher, or whatever it is, up above you. My stuff hasn't even arrived from my old apartment yet and I'm already looking ...for something else. It's unbearable.Property Manager Responded
March 16, 2022Hi Rebecca, thank you for sharing your review. We apologize to you for any inconvenience you have experienced since you've moved in. Our staff wants to do our best to make sure that you are comfortable within your home and are here to assist you. We have looked into this issue for you and have spoken with your neighbors regarding the noise, as well as your surrounding neighbors to be more cautious of the noise they're making to not disturb anyone. Also, our laundry machines automatically place an $8 hold on all cards when a load is purchased but it is adjusted after 24 hours based on the actual amount. We do our best to communicate this information in the laundry area so that residents are aware; we apologize for the confusion. Our team is more than happy to work to resolve any further issues you are experiencing. Please feel free to reach out to our office for any further questions or concerns and we'll be more than happy to assist you. We look forward to connecting with you ...soon. Sincerely, Jamela J., Community Manager vueatlaurelcanyonmgr@cushwake.com

The only issue... (Verified Renter)
November 22, 2021The only issue I have with the apartment are the constant water shut offs. I feel the hot water, or just water in general is shut off way too often. Also, paying trash and sewerage is something that I have never done before and think it is a cost the owner should cover. They seem like hidden fees.Property Manager Responded

Everyone has been... (Verified Renter)
November 23, 2020Everyone has been really nice, both staff and other residents. I love the gated parking and that the apartment complex is large but not massive. I love my view from my balcony and feel that even though we are on busy street, it is really quiet when inside the apartment. We love the rooftop space as well!Property Manager Responded

It's gotten better
July 21, 2017This will be my 3rd year here, I was originally in a 2b with a roommate which turned out to be a terrible decision. But as terrible as the management was then the still worked with me while I was dealing with bad roommate backlash. I moved into a one bedroom my second year here on the opposite side of the building and life hasn't been too bad. There have been a few terrible things that happened like in October of 2016 the garage was broken into, a lot of residents cars including myself were ...broken into twice that month, some lost more than others and there was some damage as well. Semi-luckily they hired a new manager at that point so dealing with all of that was fairly simple and much less frustrating than it might have been with the old manager. They've since upgraded a lot of security features asked the local police station to make more rounds in the area because "bum" population has doubled since I moved here 3 years ago. I give the place a 3-star rating because there's always issues with the front door, there are only 4 washer and dryers for the whole building, and there are no real amenities. Yet they charge rent as if there were. I only renewed my lease because I'm only in California for one more year and I don't feel like moving again. If you are looking for a clean place in a nice area that you only need for the basics because you won't be spending a lot of time in then go for it. It's also nice for small families, there's is a nice elementary school a few blocks from here within walking distance. It's honestly in a prime location and is perfect depending on which side of the building you live on, nature the side facing the Main Street, Laurel Canyon, is a little noisier. All in all my first year here was definitely a one star experience they've since come up to 3stars by getting new management and not going up too much on my renewal this time. I'd recommend this as a last resort option.Property Manager Responded

Horrible management!
October 9, 2015The management of this building is terrible. I've never been in a building where the Lessor expects the residents to write a "repair request" to get anything repaired in their units. Then it takes days to get the work done and if you allow their crew to enter your apartment to fix the problem, you will never know if it's fixed because there's no note or anything that the work was completed. The hot water has been a problem on several occasions and it takes many hours to get it repaired or it's ...not repaired until the next day. When there's a problem, the manager puts a note on the elevator and the note does not start with "we are sorry for the inconvenience" ever! And you should be sorry, it's your job to keep everything working properly! It's also the Lessor's responsibility to repair any issues inside the unit (when it is not caused by the resident) or on the premises of the building, like the garage (for the many times that it's not working we never know if someone's been called to fix it because there's no note at all!), for all we know the gate might open all night. The rent in this building is not cheap and it goes up every time you sign a new lease and I wish the customer service will also be upgraded. This is my last year at this place, it is amazing how poor management can ruin a business and the people that are victimized by it. This building only needs professional management! A manager that's cordial, respectful and responsive. Responding to tenant's complaints with notes in the elevator is not respectful or professional and it creates an aggresive and negative environment to all the residents.Property Manager Responded

Poor Management
September 23, 2015I've been here since June 2015 and since I've moved in our garage gate has malfunctioned at least 3 times forcing my roommate and I to take a lyft to work. 5 cars were broken into in July and management did not do anything to make us feel safer. I've contacted corporate at least 3 times with a formal complaint and have not heard back. Other residents have also complained about the property manager not being responsive to immediate issues like water leakage. Planning on moving as soon as my lease ...is up if things continue this way with no reparationProperty Manager Responded
