  • Run-down smelly property

    February 23, 2025
    Run-down smelly property, drafty 20+ years old windows, worn out carpets. Air in the area has severe sulfur pollution, stay away if you have kids. The property management refuses to do basic upkeep, like trash removal left by previous tenants. DE landlord-tenant laws do not give any protection to tenants.

    If we could pick 0 stars, we would. We went in over the weekend to obtain more information about this property. We spent a total of 10 minutes with the property manager, Sharon, who with no information provided from us, assumed and "hinted" to that we would not be qualified for her residence. She said, multiple times, "I can't technically say it, but if you're getting the hint... this is a very hard place to be accepted." Because of this "assumption" we will not be considering any Capano ...

    The office staff are certainly helpful and do the best that they can given the state of the houses. We rented a three story townhome with garage and basement. The oven and dishwasher were very old - in fact, the dishwasher couldn't be operated unless we used a knife handle to close the latch. We had mold in various rooms during the course of our stay there. The top most gutter was broken above the front door so when it rained, water would pour down and under the front door, the bottom of ...
    which became rusty and left such a gap that toads could squeeze in. In spite of my calls to repair the gutter, all they did was replace the moldy carpet in front of the door. Soon after, cracks appeared on either side of the door but again, nothing was done. Upon vacating the premises, we found half a wall of mold by the front door that had been obscured by a shoe rack. The retaining wall to the left of our lower deck that joined the neighbor's house had buckled and I've no doubt that within a year or two, it will collapse completely. Overall, the neighborhood is friendly, the people are good but Capano Management have no interest in the general upkeep of the houses. I would not recommend Walden Town homes to anyone.

    The apartments are located in a nice, secluded and wooded location. The grounds are well maintained. The living room, dining room, and master bedroom are very spacious. But the two secondary bedrooms are comparatively small. Overall layout was comfortable. The second floor, where the bedrooms are located, is difficult to cool in the summer, averaging 10 or so degrees hotter than the first floor. The gutters were not preventative lay maintained, which resulted in an overflow directly over the ...

  • THIS WOULD BE MY IDEAL LIVING SPACE

    The Walden Townhomes are very desirable. The staff were very friendly and willing to show me around and answer any questions I had. The neighborhood appeared to be very quiet and the development was well kept. I only got to view the model home but it was spacious and well designed. The master bedroom with attached deck was the highlight.
