  • Do not rent at Willows on Weidman!

    Willows on Weidman is a terrible place to live. Despite the steep cost of rent and fees, facilities and amenities are in disrepair. Apartments feature multiple 50 year old appliances (stove/oven, furnace) that are dysfunctional and even dangerous. While living there, my furnace caught on fire and I was told by office staff that this was not considered an emergency. The emergency maintenance phone line was also broken, leaving me to deal with a fire hazard on my own over the weekend. Maintenance ...
    will also enter your unit without you home, even if you specifically ask them not to. There are no in-unit washer dryers or hookups and the shared laundry room residents get access to is dirty and expensive ($2 for each small washer/dryer cycle) and many machines are broken, or will take your money and then not work. The parking lot full of giant potholes, and even sinkholes in some parts. The parking lot is also covered with screws and other hazards left by contractors (me and other residents have all ended up with screws in car tires). Contracted electricians also damaged inside of my unit and issue was not fixed by apartment staff. In general, management is NOT helpful in fixing any of the above issues and has belittled me many of the times I’ve tried to work with them to resolve these issues. Complex also uses electric for heating and cooling (paid for by the individual and not included in utilities charge), which means you can expect very high heating costs in the winter (it doesn’t help that none of the doors or windows seal, making it very drafty and energy inefficient). Units also have issues with pests (roaches and brown recluses) and moisture. Finally, the shortest lease option is 15 months, which is an extremely long lease term meant to trap desperate residents who cannot afford to live elsewhere. There are nicer apartments for the same price down the street - live there instead!

    Being here for 6 years, it’s quiet, and everyone is friendly including staff. The amenities are good, laundry mat and great pool side during the summer. Dog park for furry ones to enjoy running around.

    Everything has been pretty good except for 2 things. Our AC was malfunctioning for over a year. We called mayenance numerous times and they couldn’t figure it out. This caused us to have to pay $400/month! We were hoping management would discount our rent or something but they didn’t even say sorry. Aside from that the roads are atrocious. Everything else has been a good experience

    I just started moving in but my toilets were brown and black on the inside, all metal is rusty, and my apartment smells like pot all the time. I don’t smoke pot.

    A nice area and nice enough apartments and amenities. The walls are super thin and I constantly hear my neighbors above me slamming things or doing the deed and it has ruined my peace.

    You need to do general updates to roads!!!! There are way too many pot holes and deep cracks. This could be easy fixed with cold patch! FIX THE ROADS.

    It nice to live here personally the amount of people here that have dogs are very nice and my dog has a lot of additional friends which always wears her out?

    with all the fun lights around at night and the fine daily amenities, this community is just perfect for my current needs! Furthermore, the staff is so kind and the residents really seem to gravitate to each other, woohoo.

    Location is the only real benefit of these apartments. The apartments are really outdated for the price in rent with no real amenities being offered; the laundromat is also a big disappointment.

    Beautiful quiet place to live. School is at a walkable distance. The manager Jennifer is very good understands and takes care of any situation very professionally. Maintenance takes care of issues quickly. We love our place.
