May 9, 2022At first I thought this place was wonderful. Everything was nice and updated and the old school and the new building on the other side of the block was nice also. First thing I hate about this place is that they have Cincinnati bell. Absolutely trash. The equipment they provide is not good and my phone never wants to connect. Zero wiggle room for different providers. In the old school building it’s was very hard to keep my apartment warm. I would literally walk up to the outside walls and feel ...the cool air come in and when I went to the windows it felt like I was standing outside. Simple requests cant be filled. The whole building stays dirty. All I’m saying if everyone is at least paying a grand to live here I would want the floors to be cleaner. Climate controlled hallways and stair wells. And the windows inside and out cleaned from cobwebs. It’s like this in both buildings. In the other building I was the lucky one to get one an apartment where some of the doors don’t shut. Super super super annoying, they did nothing about it. Management is trash. If I where you this would be a last resort.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Keep Looking!
January 8, 2020Beautifully-renovated, historic building. However, the walls and ceiling are crumbling, and the apartments are drafty. Water pressure can be spotty. Maintenance requests can take months to resolve, and it takes persistence to ensure they are addressed at all. Tenants are notified of dates for routine maintenance, but these visits often do not occur. Calls and emails to building management go unanswered. Tremendously easy to hear any noise (including routine conversation) from surrounding tenants. ...Building rules are not enforced. The hallways are not climate controlled, but they are graced with occasional pet waste and marijuana fetor. Parking is expensive, but the parking gate malfunctions (sometimes trapping people inside) more often than not. Do not move here!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Cool, historical apartment
May 19, 2019I have lived in Windsor Rehab (the renovated school building) for a year. It's a cool, historical apartment building with a lot of character. Each unit is unique, so be sure to get a tour of the unit you plan to rent before you sign your lease. The apartments are nice, spacious and have up-to-date appliances. The tenants are friendly too, which is an added bonus. And cats are allowed! This is a very old building though, so at least in the attic, the units are very poorly insulated. My electric ...bill in the winter was through the roof, as it was very difficult to keep the apartment warm. I could literally feel the cold air coming through the windows and bricks. The neighborhood is a little rough, but it is beginning to turn. There are some good, local restaurants nearby. The apartment parking lot is gated, but car break-ins still do happen. One night three or four cars got broken into. Keep valuables out of sight in your vehicles. Overall, this is a good apartment, and rent is reasonable.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Unprofessional is an understatement
May 2, 2018They could not care less about their tenants. You are only money to these jerks. We have made friends who also live in the building and they have even more problems than we do. We live on the opposite side of the entrance and no one seems to care about any upkeep once you’re not at the front of the building. They chose to not tell any of their tenants about what was happening with water payments until 10 months in when we all received an email telling us that months and months worth of water ...needed to be paid for. No one will call or email you back EVER. Within the first couple of months that we lived here our ac unit leaked through our bathroom and to this day (8 months later) no one has fixed our bathroom ceiling. But the worst part, we are moving in THREE MONTHS and they bring random people into our apartment multiple times a week for show and have the balls to tell us we need to make it look nice. No one wants to live like that! I am constantly on edge knowing that strangers are in my apartment when I’m not home. I am a leasing agent at a complex in Miamisburg (yes we are moving there ASAP) and we absolutely have the right to show anyone’s apartment on notice if we want but we choose not to because it is RUDE and a complete invasion of privacy! This is supposed to be my HOME. Literally not even a a couple of days passed between our notice to vacate and the first showing to strangers which proved to me that these (insert all the swear words) could not care less about us, our privacy, and especially our concerns. I will say the maintenance man is nice, he’s the only one that isn’t a complete nightmare to deal with. Don’t even try to talk to Erin, you will want to pull your hair out. She called me "unappreciative" because I did not agree that having strangers in our apartment every week was a good "compromise". I have received sarcastic, rude, unprofessional emails that literally address me by a different name when they have talked to me before, they know my name. Horrible, careless, rude, garbage people are running this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
April 23, 2018DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The apartments are nice and reasonably priced, but these people have NO clue what they're doing. Stay FAR away! We didn't get billed for our water for 8 months and they had the nerve to charge a monthly "administration" fee... FOR WHAT? My roof leaked like crazy- they came out to "fix it" and literally just painted over the problem, so of course it leaked again. You pay for monthly parking, but the gate censor only works when it wants to so you're forced to park on the street. ...Let's not even talk about the crazy dust everywhere that brings spiders and other bugs... I've never felt compelled to write a review on much of anything, but I'd hate for anyone to get bamboozled into this place... DON'T DO IT.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Keep looking!!
April 11, 2018TERRIBLE service and management. The apartment was extremely dirty and not even totally ready on move in day. Shortly after moving in they still needed to finish painting. I was told there would be a gate to park in on move in and didn’t receive one until 3-4 months in. Due to this, multiple car break ins have occurred here. It’s NOT a safe neighborhood. The management was contacted to put lights in the parking lot as well finish the gate. On 3 different occasions police were called to the car ...break ins and even asked why there were no lights or cameras. It took management almost 4 months to do anything or install lights. They were not concerned for our safety at all. Neighbors have even left notes on cars if you street park warning you to park somewhere else. Pest control enters each apartment monthly. These were brand new apartments when I moved here and there have been far too many issues for these apartments being new. On top of all of this, management is flat out rude. Poor Management / Break ins
April 11, 2018These apartments were recently remodeled. The interior is very nice with historic features such as original hardwood and chalk boards. The main issue is with the area and management. Our cars were broken into three separate occasions. The gate around the property was supposed to be complete before the lease started but wasn’t. After multiple break ins of multiple different tenants there were many requests for exterior lighting as the parking lot was extremely dark. This took over a month to ...complete with more break ins in the meantime. Routine maintenance seems like it’s always occurring. Monthly pest control or filter replacement comes frequently and management has been unwilling to accommodate the times based off of tenant schedule. This also includes showing of the apartment. The leasing company is strict with their lease terms and the 24hr notice. They will give the 24 hour notice but have shown no good will in trying to accommodate the current tenant schedule. Further issues: Maintenance on our dryer took two weeks to complete. Our apartment was visited over 5 times for a water leak, each time claiming they had found the issue. There was painting that needed to be done prior to move in that wasn’t complete. The painters moved all bedroom furniture, didn’t move back, tracked dirt on our white rug, and broke a sound bar electric cord. On move in day our apartment was a mess although they said it would be clean. There was dirt and dust all over the floors and what looked like dirty water dried up from a poor mop job all over the floor. We were also told we could remove the ugly entertainment stand in the living room but once we moved in we were told it was historic and couldn’t be touched. The maintenance team proceeded to drill holes in the side of the historic stand to run electric cords through.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
