March 26, 2025Love it! I have waited three years for a different dishwasher. I had one of the original dishwashers so it was pretty old, rusting and at any time you could find a screw or two on the floor. Brian came in to replace it, did a fast efficient job, cleaned up after he was finished and I was back in business within 30 minutes. I couldn’t be happier.Property Manager Responded

March 17, 2025Horrible place to live but cheap You get nothing, you are just a rent check, you do not matter, your safety does not matter, front door has been unlocked for weeks because the security broke and they won’t fix it, roof leaks are common, won’t repair the water softener, if your aging ac goes out they won’t fix it, just excuse after excuse. Don’t forget the annual flooding of the garage, if your in the Lower end you can’t park there and the elevator goes down along with hot water heaterProperty Manager Responded

March 13, 2025I love it here but… Maybe this is how all apartment complexes are run but I really hope not. Or in the future maybe Zen can be the good example. We just lost another facility leader. I have been here 4 1/2 years and love my apartment, but I think this puts us at about eight new people in that position in the time I’ve been here. Some of them were not meant to be here in the first place, but I am specifically talking about losing Diane. It seems some of the rules that position are archaic and ...certainly not how business is being run now. These people when, they are here, are given absolutely no responsibility to make decisions when they are among us 24/7. They certainly have a better understanding of day-to-day life here in the building than the people who come here and walk around a few. times a year. Especially in Diane‘s case because she was able to hit the ground running, easily learned the Zen computer system and made decisions based on facts and seeing a need instead of $ signs. I don’t have an accurate percentage of empty apartments, but I do see people moving out and seldom see people moving in. We will be at a great disadvantage without having Diane here. We also have someone new in maintenance. This is probably the eighth person we’ve had in that position as well. Now, we have Brian. He is very competent, professional, and also personable. If we lose him it will be a deficit for us. I know there have been varied reasons why that position has to keep being filled, but if part of the reason is because of not providing a living wage for the amount of work one person does to take care of all their responsibilities is also sad. How many levels of bureaucracy are there before you get to the building level of management? Basically, at the building level the only responsibility they have 100% of their day is to listen to complaints and figure out a new way to say their requests have been denied because there’s no money. I understand this sounds negative but again, I love my apartment and I have made some good friends here in the last 4 1/2 years but these are questions I struggle with. Can’t some of these questions be looked at in depth to see if there’s a way in 2025 that normal operations and procedures can be looked at? Why can’t we be the example and the exception in apartment living?Property Manager Responded

Smokers Paradise, Stolen Packages
February 19, 2025Do you love to smoke every 20 min? Hate going out in the cold? Well this is the perfect place for you. Kick back in your recliner and enjoy smoking a full pack right in your living room with zero consequences. Complaints do absolutely nothing. They just tell you they can’t do anything. Plan on ordering a package? Good luck getting it. Chances are it’s stolen before you even get notified of the delivery. This has been bad for the last few years. Plan on parking in the garage in the spring/summer? ...Forget it. Annual flooding of the garage every year and we can’t park there. Water and sand coming up through all the support pillars. Constant water leaks from pipes in the garage. Water shut offs are very common. No water softener. New manager and maintenance every month or two and good luck dealing with them. They just want your rent money. Altercations have happened with residents with zero consequences, like the last reviewer mentioned. Some of the elderly are scared to leave their unit once the office closes because of certain residents. Alarm system for the building is always broke. Elevator is down all the time. I will say that I like my unit, but that’s where it ends. I’ve been here 7 years and it’s gone so far downhill so fast. Upkeep of the building is non existent, just like the rules here.Property Manager Responded

December 13, 2024I love my apartment and the location of Zen it’s very convenient. I’m disappointed in how it’s not kept up. Maintenance people and managers leave because over worked. Flooding in garage for months, not able to park! Elevator on one side of building floods, doesn’t work for months. It was a beautiful place, still has so much potential! Just has let things go. April 25, 2024Don’t believe this is a 55+. Every new resident is in their 20s. Pet friendly means pee on floors and barking day and night. No amenities. They lie about utilities. You will pay all of them. They pay nothing. Garage floods and unusable for months each spring. No snow this year so ok. Garage door won’t open. Elevators have issues. Unsafe as doors remain open for weeks at a time. Manager won’t allow cameras in entry or mailroom. Anyone can enter and camp out. Packages are stolen. Great location, decent place for the money.
December 13, 2021Have lived here 2 years & we are on the 4th manager and she is part-time. The ones we've had seem to want to do good, but with so much confusion it just ends up with nothing being done. Garage is dirty, public areas cleaning is lacking. AC, furnaces, elevators are old & break down. Windows/doors leak. Snow removal awful. At times older or handicapped residents have shoveled the steps, ramp, sidewalk. 80% 55+ but 20% just need to be 18. Not a true senior living bldg. Bldg not very secure. ...Love the friends we've made here and the location is great. Trinity (owners)could do much better by the elderly residents.Property Manager Responded
