There are some buildings in town that have such a rich history, that mean so much to the backbone of a city that, no matter what may happen to them, their spirit is so strong that it just keeps living. The Winecoff Hotel has survived through a number of difficult times, including a massive fire, but has kept on going, and to this day folks from Atlanta apartments can still stay in the hallowed halls of this hotel. One of the oldest structures in town, the Winecoff Hotel has had quite a history since its doors were first opened in 1913, and has seen many people stroll through its doors. It is perhaps best known for the large fire that occurred in 1946, which killed several people and led to the hotel almost being destroyed.
