Atlanta apartment-ites live a fun life, and when they get hungry, their options are endless. One of the hardest decisions is to choose which of the many restaurants in town, so when the time comes, why not choose one of the best? Bacchanalia is one of the most acclaimed and popular restaurants in Atlanta, being rated the number one restaurants in Atlanta by the Zagat's Guide, as well as being rated in the top ten restaurants by the Atlanta Journal. Once you step in and take your first bite, it's easy to see why. Delicious flavors, fresh ingredients and calm, upscale atmosphere is perfect for your night out, whether you're on a date, or just having a family dinner. The moment you walk in to Bacchanalia, you're be wowed by the quiet sophistication of your surroundings. The walls are cast in somber earth-tones, with large windows to let in the light during the day, and large, modern lighting to illuminate the restaurant by night. The tables are adorned in white-linen and topped by shining wine glasses and soft candlelight, setting the perfect mood for your romantic evening. As you get to your seat, you're already be amazed by your experience, and the best part is yet to come. Atmosphere is nice, but what really makes a restaurant special is delicious food, and most of Bacchanalia's fame comes from their fresh ingredients and delectable, modern dishes. Many of the ingredients come fresh, right out of the owner's and chef's own farm, so you know that what you're eating as fresh as it could possibly be. The menu changes with the seasons, with autumn and winter's menus focusing more on fresh vegetables and mellow flavors, while summer and spring's feature delicate, fresh flavors. From there, you can choose from a wide variety of high-class flavors. Start out your meal with Kumamoto oysters, lemon mignonette and caviar; foie gras terrine, Summerland Farm peaches, and Marcona almonds; a tasting of local pork, including country pate, pork rillette and lightly cured pork loin; or numerous other ambrosial options. You can then follow up is with a cheese dish, consisting of any number of cheeses, including Valdeon with Woodland Garden local organic tomoatoes, baby leeks and Banylus Vinnagrette; Brie de Meaux with local tomatoes, cucumbers and butter lettuce; or Valbreso's Sheep's Milk Feta, served with local watermelon, pickled cucumbers and mint. All these things may be delicious, but they can't prepare you for the magic that is to come with the main courses, with plenty to choose, from Maine halibut with corn, leeks and roasted chantelle mushrooms, to goat's cheese ravioli with young vegetables and a basil pistou, to slight cured duck breast with Vidalia onion risotto, rattlesnake beans, and pickled cherries, even a grilled dry-aged rib-eye, with new potato salad, confit sweet onions, and horseradish gremalata. Upscale Atlantan dining doesn't get much better than this. Atlanta apartment residents may need to pay a bit more for their night out at Bacchanalia's, but it's worth it for one of the best dining experiences in the area.
