There was a time when no building was allowed to block the view of the state capitol, and there was a time where people from Austin apartments could see clear from the University of Texas clock tower to the capitol building. Times have changed, and now there are numerous skyscrapers rising over the city, but none of them match the newest member of the Austin skyline, the Austonian. Towering nearly 700 feet above downtown Austin, the structure is now not just the tallest building in all of Austin, but also one of the tallest buildings in the state, as well as the tallest residential structure in the country.
