Stress relievers come in many different forms, but few things are as satisfying as smashing the heck out of some unsuspecting bowling pins. Fortunately for you (and your neighbors, who are tired of hearing you beat that punching bag in your apartment while blasting Metallica's Black Album), Highland Lanes offers all of the ball-heaving strike action you can handle. Unless you're a pro, odds are good you'll need to rent shoes, and at Highland they are only $2.50, which should leave you plenty of spare cash to toss back a few beers and grab a slice of pizza. Prime time lane rentals on the weekends can get pricey ($20 per hour), so your best bet is to team up with some other stressed out co-workers to share a lane, or better yet take advantage of the Sunday night 'super bowl' deal, which will net you shoe rental, a bowl of popcorn and unlimited bowling for up to four hours for just $9. For those that need a little rave with their sport, Highland also offers 'electric bowling' on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights, where you can shoot for that spare under the influence of blasting house music, fog and strobe lights. Of course, all of those distractions might not exactly lower your stress level, so we'd recommend taking advantage of the off-night ambiance.
