Paintings, sculpture, photographs, prints and decorative art are all represented at this excellent art museum. Established in 1914, the museum today has a collection that's not rivaled often. With the largest holding of works by Henri Matisse in the world, other notable artist works surround his. Paintings by Georgia O'Keefe and Andy Warhol, recognized American artists, are found here, as well as European artists Sandro Botticelli, Rembrandt van Rijn, and Sir Anthony van Dyck. Masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne are hung on the walls of this impressive museum. In addition to the art on the walls is a fine collection of more than 5,000 textiles. Needle work, quilts, laces, furnishings, costumes and tapestries are all represented here, in a remarkable display fashion.
