Bridgeport is the most populated city in the state of Connecticut and the fifth most populated in all of New England. It sits along the north shore of Long Island Sound at the mouth of the Pequonnock River and is considered part of the Greater New York City Area. Officially known as The Park City, it is renowned for its 1,300 acres of public parklands. It consists of five distinct geographic areas and 13 defined neighborhoods over 16 square miles.
