Swing into Sushi Rock in Cleveland through the heavy wood front door and be transported into an eastern world where you'll find only the best in American Asian cuisine. It's an experience in itself to go for sushi, but combined with incredible appetizers and prime rib steaks with an excellent atmosphere, Cleveland apartment-ites will love it all the way. Sit on the first floor of this classy restaurant if you want to be seen, and in the gallery, or upper level, to see who comes in. Of course, with a name like Sushi Rock, you have to expect a treat. The usual varieties are present here, from tuna and salmon sushi (with rice) to white fish and octopus sashimi (without rice). Shrimp California Maki rolls, as well as salmon, tuna maguro, yellowtail and the Manhattan are also available in the Maki roll style sushi. Eel unagi, Alaska salmon avo and tofu cucumber avacado handrolls are provided too, among other rolls. Some incredible Sushi Rock big rolls are favorites here, from the signature Sushi Rock roll which includes shrimp tempura, crabstick, salmon, spicy tuna, asparagus and masago, to the Yum Yum roll, featuring lobster salad, spicy crab, spicy scallop, avacado, cucumber, and wasabi mayo. Truly yummy! If you're ready for more of a full meal deal, you may start out with miso soup or lobster bisque and enjoy an incredible chopped salad with kalamata olive infused balsamic vinaigrette. Or, their list of appetizers is quite appealing to the Cleveland apartment-ite with lobster cigars - lobster, cream cheese, scallions and sweet curry rolled into a crispy egg roll and served with plum sauce, lamb lollipops or tasty lettuce wraps. The entree specialties of the house for Sushi Rock are the natural, free roam bone-in chicken breast, with panacetta and wild mushroom rice, the Chilean sea bass, Atlantic salmon, or the fresh catch of the day. If you're looking for some red meat, it can be found here too. The selection includes a filet mignon, bone-in ribeye or a 14 oz. New York strip. You can have both steak and sushi too, with the Sushi Rock surf and turf. Compliment your steak with truffle mac and cheese, sauteed wild mushrooms, or lobster mashed potatoes. Some people feel the prices are a bit on the high side, but the huge portions make up for that. And the freshness and expertise with which the dishes are prepared also make it worth your while. And not only is the service superb, but the ambiance of the place is inviting and comfortable, for both co-workers and your Cleveland apartment friends.
