What could be better than watching a cool indy film with your buddies from the Columbia apartment community? Thats exactly what they can do any time they want. The Nickelodeon is a nonprofit cinema and its nothing like you usually see in the line of cinemas. Its a small cinema with only 75 seats that sits right in the middle of downtown Columbia. There are two shows a night plus a matinée. Columbia apartment residents can spend an evening enjoying one of the many films the Nickelodeon shows all for a nonprofit cause, The Columbia Film Society. Student from the local college and all around the world get in at a discount as well as members of the film society and seniors. The concession stand is stocked with all your favorite movie time snacks as well as beers and wines. The films may not be the big Hollywood Blockbuster types but everything here goes to support a good cause. Columbia apartment residents that films and the atmosphere of the Nickelodeon can have a good time knowing their money is supporting the arts in their own neighborhood. Load up your buddies and head over to "The Nick", its a good time waiting to happen.
