Des Moines apartment residents call Gray's Lake "the place to meet". Its a gorgeous network of hiking and biking trails all circling the beautiful Grays Lake. The two mile trail is paved, lit and equipped with emergency phones and benches. The south edge of the trail sports a quaint pedestrian bridge that has the certain distinction of being the only one of its kind in the Midwest. Des Moines apartment residents have ball here hiking, biking, jogging and meeting their friends to enjoy each other and the superb lake view. Summer time brings swimming opportunities and lots of beach play with the Des Moines apartment fun crowd. There are plenty of picnic tables for those warm weather BBQ's too. Summer also brings a chance to be part of Yoga in the Park, a local television show that broadcasts from the park. The parking is off the street so your vehicle is safe and secure while you have all the fun you can stand. Bring your someone special and enjoy the view from the overlook terraces at twilight. It is spectacular. The restrooms are clean and modern as well so there is nothing to spoil the fun of a day at Gray's Lake.
