One of the most popular things to do on this island is to take in the beauty of your surroundings. The parks three lakes provide you plenty of opportunity for sitting back on their scenic beaches and taking in the wonder that is the nature of Michigan. They also have 150 acres of un-touched woodland, perfect for those wanting to rough it in the wild, just make sure to keep your eye for indigenous wildlife. You can also relax on the one of the island's gorgeous beaches, which give you a pleasant view of Detroit's beautiful skyline, or enjoy just enjoy the cool air on your face. If you feel the need to get active, you can even take a dip in the lake on one of their great swimming beaches.
