Talk about ambitious! The Millennium Park started as a project for the 1500 acres of industrial park to be returned to the public and the local Grand Rapids apartment dwellers as green and environmentally friendly as it once was. There is now so much to do here you could easily spend all day exploring and hanging out in natures splendor. The park touches four cities; Grand Rapids, Walker, Grandville Wyoming. This place is bigger than Central Park, New York! Grand Rapids apartment dwellers love that this park is located along the Grand River and that adds so much more to the mix. There is a beach house, picnic area, playground and fishing ponds available for unlimited use! Come to spend the day swimming, fishing or laying in the sun. Another fascinating aspect of this park is the Indian mounds. The area is covered with authentic Indian burial mounds. They are not available to the general public as of yet but there is a lot of information about how they came to be there and the areas Indian history to ponder. Check out the concession stand or just enjoy the beautiful local scenery. Millennium Park apartment residents have the best of both urban and rural worlds.
