Barnett Family Park is geared toward attracting children and families from Lakeland apartments but there is so much to see and do here for the entire crowd at the Lakeland apartments community. The park itself is gorgeous to behold. Animals native to Florida and the local area are depicted in elaborate sculptures scattered throughout the park and beautiful, hand-cut glass Byzantine tiles shine in a unique addition to this park. Barnett Family Park apartment residents get to enjoy many unique aspects of this park. The playground swings have huge saucer like seats for easy seating of one or more toddlers. Their comfortable for adults too! The spider web climb is fun for all Lakeland apartment dweller. It reaches over 21 feet high with nylon wrapped steel cables to climb and swing on. The interactive water fountain sprays water unexpectedly from any of the 10 ground nozzles and seven side wall nozzles. Kids love to chase the sprays around and adult love the amusing fountain on a hot day. Dragonflies, toads and a giant mushroom as well as a giant one eyed alligator, an ant and a black widow all adorn the playground. There is a stunning, mazelike labyrinth with an amazing wishing well at the end. This park is something special to behold for children and adults alike from any Lakeland apartment resident, young or old.
