Though Los Angeles is filled with several famous locales for catching live theater, none is quite so well-known as the infamous Kodak theater, where apartment-ites can explore one of LA's greatest landmarks, while at the same time taking in a great show. When it's not hosting award shows, specials, or television programs, it's home to special guest speakers and performers, as well as fantastic theater. If you live in Los Angeles, you owe it to yourself to check out the Kodak Theater. It's one experience you won't soon forget. Built in 2001, the 3,332-seat theater is most famously known as the location for the Academy Awards, or as home to the American Idol finals every year. In addition to that, it also houses a number of other special events throughout the year, including several Daytime Emmy Awards, the ESPY Awards and the BET Awards. When it's not being used for that, it's the home to several of the biggest performers in the country, with acts as big as Prince, Elvis Costello, Alicia Keys and Celine Dion taking the stage. It's also very common to see touring shows straight from Broadway make their way to this famous stage, so no matter when you go, you're sure to find a great show waiting for you. As an added bonus, all food in the theater is handled by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck, so any eatables you may want to indulge in throughout the show come from one of the most able hands in the country. If you live in Los Angeles, and have never been to the Kodak Theater, you can't really call yourself an Angelino.
