Seriously, a replica of the Athena statue exists in Nashville at Centennial Park where a replica of Rome's Parthenon sits as well. You see, in 1887 the centennial committee built it to recognize the greatness of the city out of temporary materials and the Parthenon was eventually rebuilt with concrete and steel. The building now serves as a museum of art with both a permanent collection and numerous rotating exhibitions for people who live in Centennial Park apartments to view and enjoy. But the Parthenon and its accompanying statue are just a small part of Centennial Park. With 132 acres of open space, Nashville apartment residents can enjoy a trip to the park to walk or jog around the lake with mile markers to gauge their speed and distance. Picnic tables and open spaces to bring a picnic from your Centennial Park apartment or your office on a sunny day are available too. Mature trees were much more in abundance until the 1998 Nashville tornado, at which time many were destroyed or wiped out by the storm. You don't have to worry as much anymore now, however, as much of the park has been equipped with storm warning sirens.
