Residents of New Haven Green apartments are envied because of their proximity to the center of town and the beauty of the downtown park. Sixteen acres of green space located here in the park is all a New Haven apartment dweller needs to get fresh air and see the sky. Thankfully, you don't just have to lie on the awesome grass and look at the clouds here, because occupants of New Haven Green apartments have plenty to choose from to do at this park. Whether you're the more athletic type or the "sitter," you can definitely find peace here. Founded in 1638 as the master planned City Park in the center of the city, New Haven Green offered early apartment residents a designated place to gather and also housed a school, state buildings and cemeteries. Today, the park has three historic churches on the north end and on the lower green is found the lovely Bennett Fountain built in 1907 and another fountain, the park flagpole and World War II memorial. Here at the park, the more active New Haven Green apartment residents can ride their bike, walk or jog, or throw a Frisbee. If you prefer to sit, there is plenty of grass and trees to have a picnic or read a book or magazine, or better yet, pretend to read while you are people watching. You can do this if and only if there is not an organizational event going on at the time.
