All the major news outlets come out of Los Angeles, including NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox. The radio has all different kinds of music in this major city, but the most popular station is an adult contemporary one called KOST (103.5) and a KIISFM (102.7) that plays popular hits of today.

The major attractions of nearby Anaheim where Disneyland is located is a popular destination. The beaches of Venice, Santa Monica Pier, and the Getty museum in downtown LA is one of the largest art collections in the world, and gets lots of tourist traffic each year. Traveling up the Pacific Coast highway will take residents to the posh city of Malibu with lush sandy beaches, and up to northern California on this popular coastal route. There are seven national parks within driving distance of LA, such as Death Valley and Joshua Tree.

North Hills is divided right down the middle by the 405 freeway.
