You are sitting in your apartment, trying to find the best restaurant for your first date. It has to be exciting, eclectic, and have amazing food. Just your luck, there is a restaurant that provides entertainment, amazing food, and a program for local starving artists. Orlando apartment-ites love Café Tu Tu Tango for its eclectic, bohemian style atmosphere and tapas menu. The art on the walls is part of the 'Starving Artist Program' in which local artists provide art in exchange for food. All art is available for sale, with the proceeds going to the artist. Be sure to buy a piece or two to decorate your fabulous apartment. Local performers also entertain the crowd with performances like belly dancing, acrobats, jugglers, and tarot card readers. The menu makes the place, with an extensive array of tapas, appetizer sized plates that are fun to share your date. There are a variety of flavors to chose from, including alligator bites, baby chipotle lobster tails, grilled baby lamp chops, and an amazing mango duck quesadilla. Order three or four per person and both of you will be satisfied. Be sure to order a pitcher of Tu Tu Tango's award-winning sangria to wash it all down. Certainly a diamond in the rough, the cool environment, unique entertainment, and delicious food will delight your date and give you one more reason to explore the area around your apartment!
