Ottumwa, IA Area Reviews
Rexanna • 4+ years in Ottumwa
February 25, 2025Not much to choose from by way of restaurants unless you prefer fast food. Not much for teenagers to do for entertainment or anyone no matter what your age. Ottumwa roads will destroy your vehicle. Unfortunately our city is more interested in installing roundabouts and building grade schools. There is not much by way shopping here unless you like to shop at Walmart. Doesn't look like there is anything coming in the near future. We do have some lower paying jobs, very few decent paying jobs. Ottumwa could be a pretty decent place to live in if we'd get some new people running it, that care about Ottumwa instead of their own agenda. And last, get rid of the ban on certain breeds of dogs. This was obviously drafted by people who are ignorant on the breed and make decisions on "hype " and "hysteria" instead of learning the true facts about pitbull's. Ban stupid people not the breed! Ottumwa has a lot of learning and growing to do.
