While enjoying the limitless possibilities in which to spend their day Richmond apartment residents can enjoy the detailed fountain in the center of the district. Dedicated to "one who loved animals" it is used as a drinking station for the horses of the mounted police and serves as a constant remembrance of the draught horses that once used it. The Bowers Brothers Warehouse, built in 1882 is nearby as well. This great building served as a warehouse for the incoming tobacco and produce products that flourished in the area. It is now a phenomenal part of the areas charm and certain distinction.
