Residents of Kelley Park apartments have got it good. While people living in other San Jose apartments have easy access to Kelley Park, it's nice to have close proximity to this wonderful park. As part of a 600 acre estate and farm once owned by the former mayor of San Jose, the 138 acres of the park provide an excellent respite for Kelley Park apartment residents. The choices of activities here are widespread, from visiting the lovely Japanese Friendship Garden to visiting the History Park Museum, playing or watching an event at the amphitheater, or just having a picnic. The lush grounds are very appealing to visit for those living in Kelley Park apartments and facilities include 103 picnic tables and 34 barbecues. Bring your friends from your San Jose apartment, meat for cooking and a Frisbee or a football. You can make reservations in advance at the park from 8 am to one half hour past sunset for either smaller or larger groups to make sure you have a place to hang out. The Friendship Garden, of course, is beautiful, and the History Museum gives you a perspective of San Jose at the turn of the century. The amphitheater hosts weddings and performances and seats 200 people. In spring 2010, the Happy Hollow Park and Zoo, located in the park, is scheduled to reopen after extensive renovations to San Jose apartment dwellers and homeowners.
