Location, location.
August 4, 2015If you want to live next to the beach, GG Park, and be close to home when you are done running Bay to Breakers this is a great location. The beach is within view, it's one block or less to the N-Judah, easy escape from the city via Skyline (or cut over to the Richmond district to get over GG Bridge). Truly great location unless your commute involves the East Bay as you have to get across the city and then deal with the fun bridge, etc. I use to live downtown and while that was the best location ...for commuting, it sucked for relaxing on the weekends. If you live in Outer Sunset and have a car you can easily drive up Skyline to John Daly boulevard and enjoy the fringe benefits of suburban shopping there (free parking! big box stores!). It seems faster anyways. I say the apartment is average/3 start only because it is ugly on the outside, old, nothing super special on the inside. Small, carpet, eletric gas range, average/older refrigerators. No laundry hook ups. I believe all of the units here are 1-bedroom so it is large building fuill of singles and couples, no children that I have noticed. Entries to the apartments are sectioned off with individual gates that lead to four units each, so you have four apartments sharing the same stair well. Ground floor is garge, 2nd & 3rd level are apartments. Garage is included, as far as i know you don't get to ask to exclude it for less. The management can generally be depended on to take care of any maintentance requests in a timely fashion and each unit's rent includes a garage (not private but you have your own stall in a closed/locked garage. If you are lucky and live on the 3rd floor you can see the ocean. I'm on the second floor so i can see the sand dunes, surfers changing on the street (lol), and kites/birds flying....partial views of amazing sunsets. Don't be excited about the balconies. You'll have to fend off mating pigeons, they are windows instead of sliding doors, and there is a strict no bbq policy. No pets policy. Gas station on the corner. A few stores/restaurants and a tatoo shop just a block or two up nearby Judah street. You will need a laundry service or schlep it to a laundromat. It is very noisy in this building, especially when the weather is nice and all the fair-weathered fans of the beach show up to party. Walls think/creaky floors. Helps if you don't care or are hearing impaired like me....light sleepers should not bother with this location.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
