Waste of Application Fee
June 5, 2021After paying the application fee and setting up a tour, they stood me up on the tour. Absolutely no one was in the leasing office the Wednesday morning I had set up my tour for. I received no response from them via phone or email within 24 hours of my tour. Then they cancelled my application. I was not denied; I was ghosted.Property Manager Responded

Don’t waste your money
July 18, 2020This place has ants, spiders and scorpions and will do nothing. About it I also had mold in my shower that they painted over when I moved in. And said they would replace the toilet but only repainted it to make it look new. If you do get a place here make sure you can look at the apartment before you get it. Don’t accept anything that you wouldn’t feel comfortable in. I am breaking my lease because I don’t feel safe here with the bugs!Review from Apartments.com
Do not move here
November 6, 2019We moved in September 27. The leasing consultant, Ashley, knew of this 1 month in advance. Upon arrival and picking up our keys, the apartment was not ready. The apartment was not cleaned, the Incorrect appliances were installed, the bathtub and sinks were still being fixed with a strong acetone smell , and several maintenance issues were not completed. There was no shower rod or shower head. Ashley vehementally promised to have everything completed the next day (Saturday). Nothing was done much ...to my disappointment after work Saturday. We were left until the following Thursday with no A/C and spent 3 days without a shower rod to hang a shower curtain as well as nothing else being fixed. Come Monday I began to call the front office for answers. Victoria answered and asked me to email over everything that was wrong with the apartment. I did so. Nothing was done in response nor had I heard anything from the girl who sold us the apartment, Ashley. I called again Tuesday and Wednesday. I was told by 3 different people to email my concerns, and Ashley was no where to be found. This whole time we were living there with a halfway ready apartment. We couldn’t do laundry, shower, or get settled in the place we paid rent for. The first day I was able to personally make it to the front office was Wednesday. Marling, the assistant, came to see our apartment. She brought the wrong size shower curtain rod and was useless in getting anything resolved for our unit. The next day, Thursday, Alicia the general manager came to our apartment. She promised to give us a concession for our inconvenience, a cleaning fee since we cleaned our own unit upon move in and the prorated rent for the weekend we moved in. Fast forward one month and this was not done. We still had to pay full price rent for a halfway done apartment and we were told this could not be granted. It was the least they could do after sleeping in a hot bedroom, with an incomplete apartment, a migraine from the acetone in the bathroom drying up, an inaccesible bathroom, and unresponsive front office staff. Not to mention the wall in the Washer and dryer closet was rotting and falling apart. The first day maintenance came to address several issues and seal this was the following Thursday, almost a week after move-in. Liars!
January 29, 2019I called the Hickory Highlands Apartments to hear their rent prices, and was quoted a resonable price over the phone for a one bedroom. We made an appointment to schedule a tour and took time off work to go, only to find out that they had LIED to us about the price! We even listened to the phone call recording with the manager, and she told us that the apartments were not the price that the lady on the phone told us. The manager was very apathetic, and did not even apologize for lying and wasting ...our time. Absolutely disgusting, do not move in here
December 23, 2018The management here is absolutely disgusting. First of all, they raised the rent from the original price in the rental contract. The new price was outside of my budget and abrupt with no warning, so I was almost evicted. My sister came to discuss with the property manager one day and this woman had the nerve to say, "well I moved to Nashville 19 years ago by myself and I'm just fine." Really lady? How dense, idiotic, insensitive, and unprofessional. You must live under a rock that only plays Faux ...News. I had given her some personal details about my family and that was her response. Firstly, 19 years is literally my whole lifetime. Secondly, I didn't move here I am BORN AND RAISED here. Thirdly, I'm sure the rent had to be about $500/month or something way back then! This is why our parents chose antioch, because it used to be affordable. On top of this high rent, there have been countless issues. The walls are paper thin. There is mold. The hot water doesn't always work. Our front door doorknob is broken. And now the heat has been out for the past 3 days. The maintenance phone line has a recording that says if the heat is out and it is below 60° outside that is categorized as an emergency, and they are to come fix the issue immediately. Well we've been waiting. And let me tell you, everyone we've spoken to has been rude. How is it not understandable for me to be frustrated when I'm paying $1k a month to sleep in layers as if I'm homeless? This is insane! I'm a student working 3 jobs and it's all you assholes from Cali and NYC that make it really hard for us to just come up out of poverty and make it out here! This is literally the issue with gentrification. And yall have NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER. That is the most disgusting part of all. I try really hard to be a positive person, but this has gone on for too long. I'm nice but I'm also not one to be taken advantage of, and I am one to take action. I am not one to stay silent when things are going wrong. Y'all messed with the wrong one. Worst Apartments EVER!
August 30, 2018This is one of the worst apartment complexes to live in. I lived here for a year and had issues from the time I moved in til the time I moved out. I moved out over 2 months ago and still haven't received my deposit back. I've gone to the office twice and Alicia, the manager is never there, and apparently, is the only person that can help me. I've called several times and no response or call backs. It's so frustrating when you've done everything you could and still nothing. I left the apartment ...super clean, all they had to do was spot paint. Also, the renovated apartments are NOT high quality.
