Awful Staff, Dirty Apartments, and very unsettling area to live in
August 17, 2024I was supposed to move in at the beginning of August and when I showed up to move in they told me that my apartment wasn't ready and the lady helping me was extremely rude to me while I was trying to figure all of this out. She claimed that they had called multiple times to tell me but said I was "out of luck and would just have to figure something else out." Even before any of this happened any time I would call to try and get an update on my apartment or lease throughout the year they would ...tell me they couldn't help me and immediately hang up. A friend I know went to move in a day ago and there were eviction notices on multiple apartments around hers along with trash bags full of things up and down the stairs and out in front of the buildings and doors on both floors. August 23, 2022management is horrible. they don’t answer emails or call backs. they will charge u fees for the smallest things. and when i moved changed units they basically threw me out of the first one. didn’t give me a notice. and when i moved into the new bigger unit it wasn’t even cleaned. the floor was disgusting. the blinds were broken, there were holes on the furniture and things were broken everywhere. don’t understand why i even had to put down another deposit if they weren’t gonna clean the ...apartment. if it wasn’t because i would have to pay for the remaining months of my lease in order to get out of it i would’ve left a long time ago. Extremely misleading
August 12, 2021They falsely advertise availability. Around the end of July, I spoke with their staff who told me the earliest move-in date was Sept. 5th (despite advertising immediate availability online...and that's for my desired floorplan). Anyway, that worked for me, so I completed the $30 application, which was quickly accepted and was required to pay the $250 deposit. Great, I've reserved an apartment. Nope. After hearing nothing for several weeks, I start making phone calls and repeatedly get vague ...answers and promises to call me back. On the 4th or 5th phone call, I contact the leasing manager and am told there are 30 applicants in front of me, some of whom filed applications in January (7 months earlier). My advise, do not waste your time. They clearly instruct the staff to give out as little information as possible. Now I'm waiting to see if and when I'll get my $250 "deposit" refunded. May 22, 2019This complex is extremely dangerous and unwelcoming. The staff is so horrible it was sickening to give money to people who treat this residents like that. There are plenty of better and CHEAPER options throughout Columbia, do not waste your money in this cooperation. From the maintenance staff to the manager, I did not meet a single person who acted in a manor that made me confident that my money was being spent wisely. Dangerous golf balls fly there
July 30, 2018I stayed at my friend’s apartment there for just a weekend. Saturday a golf ball hit his window but didn’t break anything. Monday morning just when I was about to leave, another golf ball broke the windshield of my car. You know what, the management said they are completely NOT liable!!! Unprofessional & unorganized
April 4, 2018My boyfriend and I were trying to sign at the Links for a one bedroom, and the staff there has consistently brushed us off. Someone my application got “deleted” from their system, which prolonged our ability to be put on their waiting list. When we went in to check what had happened, they told us they would handle it and call us at the end of the day. No call, so a week later we called them, and they told us to pay our application and deposit fees and they might be able to figure it out. That ...would have been around $400! We declined, and they said they would figure it all out and restart our application for us and call us back. That was a month ago and we haven’t heard anything from them.
